I missed the premiere episode back in ’75, but I believe I caught the second show because at the factory they were all raving about this crazy new comedy show that comes on Saturday nights at 10:30 (after the local news). The novelty of Second City actors(actresses)–fresh, relatively unknown, lively and full of youthful vigor, caught the country by surprise. It was LIVE!!! Skits like the Star Trek parody with Jim Belushi and Chevy Chase blew everyone away, and boy did the guts hurt from laughing at “Telegram. …..Candygram (Jaws), accompanied by the aftershocks of a typically obnoxious commentary by Rosanna Danna, always ending with “Never mind.” The first five years were good for the initial crowd such as myself. After that, it was so-so.

I remember when it used to be funny. Back in Gilda Radner’s day.

One of the funniest skits I’ve ever seen in my life was the one where Garrett Morris had to compete in a prison talent contest in front of the parole board to see if he was talented enough to be paroled. So he does a song about “gonna get me a shotgun and kill every whitey I see” and he tries to rape one of the ladies on the parole board. LOL.

Yes, they had no trouble making fun of blacks or presidents back then.

Now, I haven’t watched that show since all the real actors and comedians left, around the time Dennis Miller left I suppose. And the show isn’t worth a shit anymore. It’s for brain-dead liberals who want the government to tell them what to do because they are too stupid to do anything for themselves.

Michaels had his day for the first three seasons of SNL. It started it’s decline then and never got much better. There was the odd bit that was pretty funny but it’s pretty well like NBC news now meaning the network really doesn’t care that it shills for the left or has no sense of balance. Michael is old, gray and pretty well done now along with the show.

After growing up in a Northeast liberal Democrat family, I heard “ni–er” spoken MUCH more by the libs than conservatives (and no, they weren’t reciting lines from “Blazing Saddles” or the latest hip-hop single). The nature of the discussions by the Democrats was the most racist garbage I’ve EVER heard in my life and I’m glad I don’t have to listen to that crapola any longer.

After the 1992 LA riots you wouldn’t believe the bigoted BS being spouted.
