Rep.Trey Gowdy (R) confronted by woman with gun outside church
South Carolina Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy was unharmed after a woman pulled a gun on the freshman congressman in the parking lot of his hometown Spartanburg, S.C., church on Sunday night.
A little before 8 p.m. Sunday, Gowdy was approached by a woman who pointed a gun at him and demanded that he stop following her, WSPA reported.
Gowdy explained to the woman — identified by authorities as 52-year-old Gloria Yvonne Brackett of Georgia — that he was not following her but waiting for a family member.
The congressman then drove away unscathed, as Brackett chased after him on foot.
Gowdy drove straight to the police department, according to WSPA, and was able to retrieve his daughter with a police escort.

Unless they find death threats and other evidence in her house, I believe that she is mentally ill.
How scary would that be to have a lunatic pointing a loaded gun at you? Thank goodness Gowdy was not harmed.

Many states are going to the new way of registering voters. That is, you don’t declare a party until you show up at the polling place and ask for a specific ballot. You MAY declare at registration time but that data is no longer stored.
I suspect this is due to so many requests to determine party affiliation after a crime has been committed. I think the liberals are starting to realize that most of these types of crimes are committed by democrats. This no-party-affiliation garbage is done, I suspect, to keep the liberals off the nightly news. It also allows them to claim Tea Party affiliation on the front page, and when they have to retract, it can go on the bottom of page six buried in between the supermarket ads and coupons.
By the way, here’s a mugshot of Ms. Brackett. If she’s certifiable, I hope she gets help. If she’s not, I hope she gets the book thrown at her.
