Jesse Jackson Jr. depression treatment

Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.) is home after undergoing extended treatment for bipolar disorder at the Mayo Clinic, his chief of staff said Friday.

“He’s at home in Washington convalescing with his wife and children,” aide Rick Bryant told the Associated Press. “Let’s hope he returns to work on Monday.”

Bryant said he wasn’t sure when exactly Jackson was discharged. A statement from Jackson’s wife said she and her husband were “thankful for the heartfelt prayers and kind thoughts from so many for our family.”

Jackson took medical leave from Congress in June for a then-undisclosed reason. A statement from the Mayo Clinic in July revealed he was undergoing treatment for depression, later amended to be Bipolar II, a disorder involving periodic bouts of depression and hypomania. Hypomania is a less serious form of mania.

Well that will settle any possibility for future prosecuting. He’ll use “my other self did it” defence.

So why is he in charge making decisions and voting in his district. If he’s bat shit crazy – like Obummer he’s gotta go! With that scorn on his face he could easily pass for the Mooch.

He is seriously mentally ill. He may never be cured. How can he continue to hold elected office?
For the good of his district, it’s time for retirement.

Being an unethical pig qualifies as a mental disorder and not a moral deficiency? Not in Jesse Jackson Sr. and Jr. land. Business as usual.

He’s just setting a baseline evaluation so he can plead insanity/diminished capacity when he gets charged for bribery and whatnot. When he gets thrown in the pen it’ll be a cushy looney bin where he can be “treated” for his “disorder.”

Mr. Gates had this Q: “He is seriously mentally ill. He may never be cured. How can he continue to hold elected office?”

Answer: Democrat & Illinois, probably a prerequisite.

If he really has bi-polar then I feel sorry for him and he must resign immediately. On the other hand he may have split town because the heat was on and he needed a place to hide out until it cooled a bit. Drugs used to treat bipolar have lots of negative effect and people would soon see whether his story was true.

At the very end of the article:
“The timing of his leave drew scrutiny, as Jackson is currently the focus of a congressional investigation over allegations he offered to raise campaign cash for former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich in exchange for being appointed to Barack Obama’s old Senate seat.”

Freud that said there are NO coincidences.

BTW, they’re saying it’s “Bipolar Disorder II” that he has.
IOW, he was depressed. No shit.
