Police Making Plans If Students Miss School Due To Strike
CHICAGO (CBS) — The Chicago police superintendent says he’ll be ready if police have to deal with the sudden exodus of students from the classroom to the street – in case there’s a strike.
The Chicago Public Schools will have some schools open for half a day, if there’s a strike.
And that in itself is an issue for Police Supt. Garry McCarthy.
“We do have concerns and we’re working with CPS to ensure that rival gang members are not put into the same places,” McCarthy said.
“The fact is, we just came out of the summer where those kids were not in school for the most part anyway,” he said. “So it’s really just going to extend exactly what we’re doing.

Hold the Teacher’s Union accountable as an accessory to any crime committed during normal school hours by a student while the strike is in effect, and make them financially responsible for damages and open to lawsuits.

If thre is a teachers strike and the “youths” have some free time on their hands I expect an increase in “Polar Bear Hunts” aka the knockout game, flash mobs or whatever clever nickname the media stooges give to “youth violence” when there are no pictures of the “youths” and the race isn’t mentioned.

A Chicago Teachers Union strike on Monday (Sept. 10) could actually cause the deaths of students and others. But I guess it’s okay. After all, the union’s only concern is the children. So if a few have to die to further fatten their pensions, then so be it.
