Democrats Said to End Convention $15 Million Short

Democrats ended their convention in Charlotte $5 million short of their budget even after being forced to draw down a $10 million line of credit from Duke Energy Corp. (DUK), according to a Democratic Party fundraiser.

That will leave a $15 million bill that eventually will have to be paid by President Barack Obama’s campaign or the Democratic National Committee, according to the fundraiser, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations.

The Charlotte Host Committee ended the convention with more than $5 million in immediate obligations and may require a direct cash infusion from the Obama campaign to pay vendors, said the fundraiser.

The $10 million line of credit to Duke Energy will need to be repaid next year, said a second person familiar with the matter, who also spoke on condition of anonymity. Duke Energy Chairman and Chief Executive OfficerJim Rogersis co-chairman of the host committee.

Those debts could siphon off advertising money in the campaign’s final months, as Democrats face a cash disadvantage.

According to an ad on this page, I can get an 0bama pen set for 40 bucks. Will that help pay off their debt?

Yeah. Get the pen, then use it to write a check to Romney for $100.00.

Maybe Holder can send one of his enforcers to Duke Energy’s corporate office to “negotiate” a lower rate.

“Those debts could siphon off advertising money in the campaign’s final months, as Democrats face a cash disadvantage.”

Wrong! The disadvantage is Obama’s Marxist, policies and rhetoric. The result of Obama stupidly doubling down on his absurd Marxist rhetoric is – no one believes he can win! So the fat cats are not investing their hard earned money in his fantasy, workers utopia, one world order campaign.

The collective of leftist drones has seen that Obama talks the Marxist talk, but his slipshod, amateurish methods prevent him from walking the Marxist walk. Obama is no Mao, no Stalin, Adolph Hitler . . . even though he fantasizes he is.

Black Jesus has turned out to be another false prophet with no supernatural backing from the father of lies who has duped another antichrist wannabe.

All of the people who in 2008 wrote his grandiose speeches, and ran his blitzkreig, big lie, take no prisoners political machine, have all deserted him. Now we see what the mind of a micromanaging, central planning, collectivist acts like when he is all alone at central stage, with the 10,000 watt spotlight shining down on him . . . can you say what a buffoon?

I knew you could, boys, and girls.

Dems in hock to Duke Power? Now who was it that said this:

“So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can. It’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted…coal power plants, natural gas—you name it—whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.”

ALl of you NC consumers of Duke Energy, you’d better hope Duke gets paid back before Barky loses or wins, because Dems will welsh on the debteither way, and Duke will pass that loss on to consumers.

There’s something not quite right about a Power Corporation loaning money to a political party. Seems like a huge campaign contribution to me…or is it an extortion, given Obama’s threats above. But I guess it goes on all the time, right?

So, a “line of credit” can be used toward a campaign and not violate any campaign donations rules? I understand that is supposed to be paid back but only after the election and who is to say what happens if the dems always plead poverty (for themselves that is) and never pay it back.

I can see Mozilla’s next begging letter:

Don’t buy your kids that pair of shoes, skip a month on your student loan, hold-up a liquor store, don’t give that check to your church or synagog, send the money to me, me and jugears. Just do it, do it NOW.

I wonder, are political parties like corporations in that the members are not personally liable? It would be great if they were treated like partnerships and creditors could go after their personal assets.

I think Mozilla’s next plea for money will be to forgo your trips to the dentist and send them the money instead. That way if the assbite gets re elected not only will our economy be identical to Europe’s, our teeth will be too. You won’t be able to tell us apart.

Another example which shows that Obama can’t manage money.
Romney is a big puss if he doesn’t take advantage of this situation.
He’s already disappointed me by not saying shit about Solyndra or Fast & Furious during the RNC, leading me to believe that politics a lot like wrestling, meaning it’s fake and rigged yet we keep rooting for our favorite to win.
