I guess this is where the audacity part comes in. It’s hard to be proud of your country when it’s elected officials act like trailer trash.
Drudge has a pole up, Obama 49% Romney 45%. I’m not buying it. Somebodies got to be manipulating the numbers.

Skip your meal by eating at someone’s wedding reception and don’t forget to donate the cost of a gift. How desperate are these people (rhetorical)

I can’t add anything beyond the original “you’ve got to be shittin’ me, woman” from Obamablows.

@Bad Brad
I saw that too at Drudge – it’s a Gallup poll – the same folks who are under pressure from the DOJ and Axelrod to change their polling methodology because it made Berry look bad.

The woman is so bowlegged she couldn’t stop a pig in an alley and is asking me to skip a meal? Puhlease.

For the good of the country: Get used to eating less food, being cold in the winter and hot in the summer. During my second term you will be living in an appliance box, if you’re lucky.

Xavier, Somethings got to be going on. For Christ sake I live in California and if there are people around here that support that Jack Ass, they are being very quite about it. Maybe for good reason.

It’s OK … they’ve turned half the country into beggars so I guess they’re trying it themselves.

It’s going to get so I don’t recognize where I live any more, soon. Won’t that be nice?

Mary, I do live in a very conservative county, shit our county seat is still known as Hangtown, but all of our media comes from Sac. They seem to be turning on their superstar. Wouldn’t it be cool if Cali. went Repub like in the old days. Hey, I can dream.

Zonga, I made the switch 5 years ago and I’ve never felt better! Sorry Mary and Brad, my apologies. Sometimes you gotta know when to fold ‘em. Conservative cowgirl is in yall’ neck of the woods, though.
PS Mary.. could you send me a real SF sourdough bread starter? Mine died and you just can’t get one around here. Vermont sourdough is crappy, kinda like the typical Vermont voter.

Stranded is here, too–and several more.
If I have to go into SF to get the sourdough starter, it might be a while. I have to take the entire series of shots first.

@Cakes- Vermont turned an old acquaintance of mine from an easy going, liberal-leaning, metro-NYC raised Jewish guy into a flaming, abrasive, annoying pain in the butt liberal (or “proudly progressive” as he says). He lived there for a few years after college. I have no idea what happened to him, but some of us blame Vermont.

Mary, don’t forget the nose plugs and lysol.
Seriously, Michelle eats mighty well off our dime, how dare she ask parents to send in their kids dinner money for her so she can continue doing it.

@cakes- true, when some of his old friends get together we joke about Vermont being responsible for his change in character but we know the truth. Just a bad attempt at humor plus being sad that a friend became an ideological pest.

@Zonga — I am happy for you. In a few years my wife and I are looking at making the move. Great weather, and…that’s it. I’ll miss the sunsets over the Pacific but I’ll endure. Hope your move is safe and uneventful.
