You Can’t Squeeze Brains from a Stone

Oh, Hollywood! Never have so many been paid so much for so little worth. Their lack of rational thought astounds even me sometimes, and I have very low expectations. In fact, I propose a new term to replace the ickier bathroom version: Stone for Brains. Oliver Stone, that is. He proves, once again, that, like money, you really can’t squeeze brains from a stone.

Director Oliver Stone’s upcoming Showtime documentary miniseries “Secret History of America” promises to put mass murderers such as Stalin and Hitler “in context.” “Stalin, Hitler, Mao, McCarthy — these people have been vilified pretty thoroughly by history,” Stone told reporters at the Television Critics Association’s semi-annual press tour in Pasadena.

Um, Oliver? The “context” is that they are evil and, you know, actual bad guys. That’s difficult for you to understand, I suspect, since you are a practitioner of moral relativism. Further, to you, there is no good or evil; everything is just “diverse cultures” and “self-expression” and such.  The right kind only, of course, not like those marauding mobs of tea party attendees what with their peaceful assembly and redress of greivances. Plus, in your delusional mind, George W. Bush is the baddest bad guy ever.

We can’t judge people as only ‘bad’ or ‘good.‘ Hitler is an easy scapegoat throughout history and its been used cheaply. He’s the product of a series of actions. It’s cause and effect … People in America don’t know the connection between WWI and WWII … I’ve been able to walk in Stalin’s shoes and Hitler’s shoes to understand their point of view. We’re going to educate our minds and liberalize them and broaden them. We want to move beyond opinions … Go into the funding of the Nazi party. How many American corporations were involved, from GM through IBM.

And there it is. There is no bad or good, huh? We can’t actually judge people by their horrific actions. Philistines! Liberalize your minds! Sorry, but I don’t wish to walk in Hitler’s shoes; if anything, I wish I could have shoved one where the sun don’t shine. Repeatedly. You want to walk in Hitler’s shoes, yet take great glee when a shoe is thrown at George W. Bush? Cognitive dissonance is fun!

They’ve stopped teaching about the Holocaust and the Crusades in some schools in the UK, waving the banner of “too controversial; it might offend some students.” You are now aiding and abetting that line of thinking. Since when is the Holocaust controversial? They now must teach their children based on a madman’s beliefs? The truth is now considered “offensive” and we must learn to embrace their differences and understand madmen? I’m confused. Maybe because I seem to have lost my English to Cuckoo Pants dictionary.

And, of course, I knew America would be at fault somehow. America and it’s pesky capitalist system made up of evil corporations (the only evil you believe in.) You’ll blame corporations, yet “walk in the shoes” of Hitler to explain away any personal responsibility.

“You cannot approach history unless you have empathy for the person you may hate,” Stone said during the show’s trailer, which promised to put historical villains “in context.”

I see you are really working that “empathy” talking point from the White House. Good boy, Oliver! Next, start bowing in supplication constantly. You may get a Czar position!

“Obviously, Rush Limbaugh is not going to like this history and, as usual, we’re going to get those kind of ignorant attacks,” said Stone, who also also compared the experience of sympathizing with war criminals to making his “W” movie about George W. Bush. “I’m trying to understand somebody I thoroughly despised.”

You just Godwinned yourself right there, Oliver, with you comparing of Bush to HITLER. Geez Louise, that has really gotten old. As for Rush, he doesn’t ignorantly attack. He does, however, GET attacked ignorantly. By the very same people who see your movies, I suspect. Congratulations!

Oliver, try “empathizing” with reality, for once.

I read this on Big Hollywood on Sunday and my jaw dropped. Only in today’s America where education has nothing to do with educating and history has nothing to do with the truth could this imbecile actually get away with this.

We didn’t need to “understand” Hitler or “walk in his shoes.” We needed to wipe him and his ilk from the planet. And we did exactly what we should have done.

“We want to move people beyond opinions” And what exactly is this place that is “beyond” an opinion anyhow. Wouldn’t that be a place of sheeplike docility?

Typical leftism. That’s a statement that sounds like it means everything, but says absolutely nothing

If the name “McCarthy” on that list refers to Joe McCarthy, then it is there out of Stone’s ignorance. The Venona papers vindicated Joe McCarthy, as it turned out that everyone he accused of being a communist really was. Joe McCarthy was a hero for exposing the infiltration of communism in our government, and is only vilified by left wing commies, like the ones running the show now.

Of course, if it refers to Charlie McCarthy, then never mind. – He may have been evil for all I know.

He’s been able to walk in their shoes? So he had dentistry done to give him crippling pain in his mouth, as Hitler had? Has he contracted some sort of illness, to emulate the “..Parkinson’s disease, severe gastric crises, skin lesions and violent mood swings as evidence that he had contracted syphilis – as well as ‘sudden criminal behaviour, paranoia, grandiosity and mania, all of which changes show in cases of neuro-syphilis…?”

Here’s some context for Stone. My great grandfather had 12 siblings. All of them had families. All of them were killed by Hitler except my great grandfather, his oldest brother (they were both fortunate to have come to America already) and 2 cousins. On my great grandmother’s side, there were about 4 survivors. Entire families wiped out.

The two cousins that survived were sponsored and brought to America by my grandfather. My mother, who was 4 at the time, vividly recalls meeting her cousins for the first time. They were skeletons wearing burlap sacks- literally. They would have loved to “walk in someone’s shoes”, Stone, but alas, they didn’t have ANY shoes. They had no education, no possessions or skills. They had no parents, no sisters no brothers, aunts, uncles or friends. One woman who married my cousin after the war could never have children, Stone. Why? Not because GM or American companies were funding ant part of the Nazi party, but because the evil Mengele took that from her during many of his cruel torturous experiments on her. (she would never tell anyone details). And I don’t think my cousin who survived by literally crawling out of a 10″ hole in the bottom of a traveling “gas” truck while the carbon monoxide was being pumped in would agree with your assessment that Exxon or any American company had anything to do with the situation. As a matter of fact, Stone, he probably would tell you how thankful he was that an American soldier named Schwartz found him hiding in the forest where he ‘survived’ for almost six months after his Nazi escape. It wasn’t America who caused this epic evil, but it was American soldiers, aided by Americans- people and business that RESCUED the world from it.

That is the ONLY context one needs in regards to Hitler, Lenin, Mao, Che, Fascism, Socialism, and ANY other ism rooted in Eugenics. So, Stone, take your “context” and shove it up your a$$.

If Oliver Stone wants to take the pro-Hitler position, and concede the anti-Hitler position to Rush Limbaugh, I say let him go for it. See how many liberals join the Oliver Stone camp. See how many more “independents” turn away from liberals forever.

So we’re going to discuss how GM may have contributed to the rise of Adolph Hitler. Are we also going to mention the hundreds of thousands of military vehicles GM churned out — without which the defeat of the Nazis would have been impossible.

Are we going to discuss the contribution that left wing weenies made to Hitler’s success with their sniveling appeasemenmt. And what about the heroic role of so many American artists and writers who did their part by avoiding military service?

No doubt we’ll talk about how most everyone was fooled by Hitler until it was almost too late. Oh, except for Winston Churchill, he was NEVER fooled by the Nazis. No doubt you’ll highlight that. Except, Oops — didn’t your man Obama send Churchill’s bust back to England?

I’d actually consider seeing the movie if he did that, but I’ve never known Ollie to concern himself with facts. Ever.

i posted on this elsewhere, but i will repeat it here. IMO, everybody is missing the point on what Stone is trying to do. as the libtards have proven, the info-documentary-propaganda medium, wins Oscars and even Nobel Prizes. now, its Stone’s turn. his goal is to continue to vilify (with his deceitful documentary) G.W. Bush. here is how it will be played:

    1. the Prescott Bush’s (GWB grandpa) very distant dealings with pre-WWII companies in Germany will be ballyhooed and trumpeted. this is the stuff that has fed conspiracy theorists for at least a couple decades.

    2. ditto Henry Ford’s dealings with pre-WWII Germany, and Ford’s pre-WWII pro-Nazi leanings. it will be pointed out that Ford didn’t take Roosevelt’s socialist bailout money then, and Ford didn’t take it socialist bailout money now under Obama. that correlation will be played upon.

    3. McCarthy was thrown into the mix to once again “prove” the already discredited liberal talking points of: rightwing = fascism = nazism. no mention of how McCarthy was proven correct, his very name has been turned into an epithet by the Left: “McCarthyism” supposedly ONLY applies when rightwingers call anybody on the left a commie or a socialist.

    4. Roosevelt’s chummy brand of socialism with his buddy Joseph Stalin (FDR fist termed “Uncle Joe”), and how the US tried to help first Sun Yat Sen and then Mao, before finally turning to help Sun Yat Sen’s corrupt brother-in-law, Gen Chiang Kai Shek against Mao.

    5. Stone’s propaganda will again show the Left’s mantra and meme: that Socialism has never been tried by the “right” people; that it won’t lead to communism; that “progressivism” has humanity’s best interests at heart; and how those vile, putrid, hateful, despotic and evil fascists, nazis, and rightwing conservatives are humanity’s true demons… and the likes of Fox News, Rush Limbaugh (and all others on talk radio) MUST be silenced in the name of preserving our humanity.

    betcha betcha betcha.
