Five Democrats Playing Hooky from DNC

This year’s Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., has already encountered plenty of setbacks. Organizers had fundraising troubles. The North Carolina Democratic Party is in shambles. North Carolina became the thirtieth state in the country to codify marriage as between one man and woman a day before President Obama reversed his position and endorsed same-sex marriage. The state has the lowest rate of unionization in the country.

The DNC is also marred by absenteeism. Plenty of Democrats, many from the Midwest and Rust Belt, have said they would not attend the convention. Most of them say they are skipping the event to focus on their campaigns.

However, a more likely reason may be that these candidates are afraid they will be tainted by their association with President Obama, his unpopular policies, and an aggressive and ideological national Democratic Party.

Below are five prominent Democrats who won’t be attending this year’s DNC.

Playing hooky is a Democrat thing.

vis a vis Wisconsin senators. Class act. and O’false one approved.

Wisconsin state Senate Democrats fled the state on Thursday to protest a Republican plan to sharply curtail union rights for public employees, and President Barack Obama weighed in on their side.

Am I allowed to say, “who the hell are Catskill, Testercal, Carmonica, Mancurian, and Hidi Heitler?”

Catshill is the only one I’ve heard of. But I am glad to hear there will be more empty seats there. Soon they will all be empty.

Anyone voting for ‘moderate’ democrats enable Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obamba. So if you like the candidates ‘moderate’ stance, you’ve got to ask yourself, “Do I like Barack’s policies, too?”

    Well do ya, punk?

I hope that the media reports on the fact that these and others are not going to the convention. Remind everyone that they are avoiding Obama and the national party.
Here in Missouri, McCaskill and Jay Nixon (Democrat running for reelection for Governor) are running so far away from Obama and the national Dems. It is actually funny watching them advertise how they opposed “Washington” and Obama policies. In their ads, there is no mention that they are Democrat or no little donkey logo either. They are so afraid that the toxic opinion that most have on Obama will rub off on them.
