TRUE RIGHTS COME FROM GOD AND NATURE; ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES

“Sometimes, even presidents need reminding that our rights come from nature and God, not from government,” said Paul Ryan in his speech on Wednesday nights.

Evidently dreary MSNBC hosts need that reminder too, because Toure – who is almost as race-obsessed as Chris Matthews, but not as amusingly deranged – pronounced himself deeply offended, along with an unspecified, but allegedly very large, portion of the American population.

“He loves this line of ‘our rights come from God and nature’, which is so offensive to so much of America,” pontificated the MSNBC personality.  “Because for black people, Hispanic people, and women, our rights do not come from God or nature. They were not recognized by the natural order of America. They come from the government and from legislation that happens in relatively recent history in America. So that line just bothers me to my core.”

It bothers me to my core that a news network would employ someone who needs a grade school course in remedial civics, but I’m a giving soul, so I’ll provide one.  I’ll keep it light and simple.

The Declaration of Independence says: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

This is a very important concept.  The signatories of the Declaration were saying that certain rights are built directly into each human being.  You don’t actually have to believe in God to understand the concept.  You enter this world with unalienable rights that are not granted by the government… and cannot be withdrawn at the pleasure of government.  No one can pass legislation to take these rights away.  Even if every single one of your fellow citizens votes to strip one of your unalienable rights from you, the government cannot do so, without sacrificing its legitimacy.

    When you allow the state to dole out your rights, be prepared for the state to revoke them as well.

    What part of Self Evident truths in the Declaration Of Independence don’t these knuckleheads understand? If its Self Evident it’s an obvious truth, unless you’re like these morons and think that all rights come from the govt. Gimme a friggin break. When we forget that God is ultimately the source of all our rights and freedoms then this is the result. Our God is forgiving and merciful, not arbitrary and capricious, the govt. not so much because they are a jealous god and will not tolerate any dissent from their untrue and lying worldviews. I prefer God given rules and regulations because they are clearly spelled out and available for anyone to understand but the govt. rules who can understand. Even their own lawyers don’t have a clue what they mean. If it’s a choice between the Self Evident truth of God and The Declaration Of Independence then I’ll take that every day over man’s rules which usually don’t make a lick of sense.

    The Maoists, rights come from the barrel of a gun, have been attempting to subvert individual rights and natural law for decades.

    Another problem is these morons that talk about human rights, this is another of the obfuscations. You do not have the right to a house, a doctor, food, a job………….etc. This is the communistic crap they spew.

    So thats why he’s wanting to do away with the declration and constution and free thought and meangful life etc…..

    If you read John Locke’s Second Treatise on Government you’ll discover it to be the expanded version of the Declaration of Independence, including the concepts of rights coming from God and Nature, and that among our rights are life, liberty, and property (which was enlarged to “the pursuit of happiness,” somewhat to our peril).

    Paul Ryan has read John Locke, obviously. Progressives don’t read crusty old books.

    The Lib-Cong don’t understand that whatever GOVERNMENT gives, GOVERNMENT can remove. They seem to forget that Government is composed of humans who can change their collective minds in a heart beat. God is eternal and superior in every way.

    For me, I’ll stand with God and the blessings He has granted.

    Wait. Is he saying that only white male Americans believe on God and everyone else is an atheist?

    How can this guy say this with a straight face? I will say this, when you strip God out of the Declaration and the Constitution you can make it say whatever you want. Without God, the founding documents are meaningless.

    That’s the danger in the attack on christianity……
