    569 deaths occurred in the war during the two terms of President George W. Bush.

    There have been 1,188 U.S. military deaths in the Afghan war since Barack Obama was sworn in as president on Jan. 20, 2009.

    Can anyone say, “Incompetent”? How about “Uncaring”? “Inept”?

    Maudie is right. Considering the rules of engagement, there is no way our soldiers can fight a “proper” war. Their hands are tied. And they are fighting against an enemy that has utterly no respect for life.

    Been saying this for some time now. I heard weekly reports on the “death toll” from Bush’s illegal war during GW’s terms. Now, nothing.

    On a side note, we had a procession today in West MI for a fallen soldier who came back to be buried. The crowd that lined the streets was incredible. Not to mention the people who got out of their cars to stand in respect. Very cool and uplifting…..

    You want to get more and more people to line the streets when your lads come HOME in coffins. We the British do this and the muslims don’t like it but can not do anything about it ,Because it is showing respect at a FUNERAL.In the UK the police even keep the muslims away for safety reasons.
