Pomp and Circumstance in Obama’s America

Obama’s voice is really starting to grate on the nerves. Wouldn’t it be nice if they would mute his speeches? It shouldn’t pose any technical difficulties to bring in a text feed from his teleprompter to run across the screen in case anyone wonders what he’s saying.

I can’t stand his voice or his smug face. We went to see “2016″ last night and wished they could have muted his voice and blurred his face!

Got my vote. I’ve been saying the same thing for a while. I remember when he was trying to convene a joint session of Congress for some lame assed reason, and I couldn’t figure out why it was necessary. He was just going to read from the teleprompter, so why not just transcribe and print the damned speech and distribute it to the members to read at their leisure?

He made my skin crawl on the campaign trail four years ago.

For a guy with such a gift, Harry…those whistling S’s are a major skin-crawl. It must be his dog-whistle that cues the fainting spells. And why can’t Mr. Gifted say “y’know” like everyone else. It always “y’oh” with him.

If he wins the election, that video will have been a preview of his victory speech. I shudder to think of an unconstrained second term.

@CG – I saw the movie yesterday also. The theater was packed – almost SRO.

    So the caption would read:

Waa, waa-waa, waa. Waa, waa-waa, waa, waa.

@66Chevelle, his whistling S always reminds me of “Gopher” in the Winnie the Pooh cartoons…only Gopher is a cute curmudgeon. Duh One is not.

@Stirrin’, the theater we went to was packed, also. I was surprised, to say the least. It was in one of the Bay Area towns on his fundraising trail.

Does anyone else speak like that?

The gang words, the cadense, the vocal emphasis…yeah & that damned whistle. GHet your teeth cleaned for Christ’s sake!

I’ve been muting his speeches for 4+ years now. God bless the inventor of the remote control.

“I’m Barack Obama and I approved …” MUTE!

I’ve always hated the sound of his voice. He’s given me the creeps ever since he first “burst” on the national scene.

I stopped yelling at my TV so much when I began muting him, pelousy, reid…. My TV is much happier with me now.

I still cringe even when Paul Shanklin mimics Obamas’ voice in those Rush 24/7 spoofs.

Most cringing Shanklin/Obama clip – “If you love me…” I’ll never forgive Obama for that phrase. God Almighty.

Haven’t turned my TV on in over 2 months. Don’t miss it at all. Catching up on my reading – sitting outside on a warm summer’s night with my Kindle & my iced tea. Niiiice.
