Romney: ‘I don’t Show It Quite As Clearly As John Boehner, But I’m An Emotional Person’

In a wide-ranging interview with Mitt Romney and his wife Ann, Parade magazine asked the Republican presidential candidate whether he is an emotional person. Romney responded by contrasting himself against a fellow prominent Republican known for shedding a few tears:

Do you cry?
AR: I do.

Do you, Governor?

MR: I’m emotional. I don’t show it quite as clearly as John Boehner, but I’m an emotional person. There is a, I don’t know, a societal norm that if you’re running for office, you can’t be emotional, and perhaps I bow to that too often.

Please Mitt, for the love of all that is good and holy, don’t transform yourself into some thenthitiff, fruity, weepy sack of crap like Boehner. Real leaders don’t cry in public. That’s the job of weak people. Get it?!!!

If he wins, we’ll get to see if those emotions extend to sending our troops to be killed in places that matter not one fuck all to our national security. I have my doubts.

That’s the trouble with people like me, literate vets who read history, find out who the actual beneficiary’s actually are.

Don’t get me wrong. A whole shitload of actors on the world stage actually need killing. We just seem to keep killing the wrong ones.

Parading one’s emotions in public is demeaning -
for both the emoter and the voyeur.

    NO CRYING, DAMMIT!

If I wanted a pussy for president, I would’ve voted for Obama. Or Boehner!

We need a rock-ribbed MAN, not a guy who we’ll have to worry about seeing his mascara run.

Why doesn’t “no drama obama” get these fruit loop questions?

Because the Pravda press doesn’t want him to appear weak. Or to appear to have a soul.

It’s time for more Patton and less patent leather. (Mike Savage, I think.) The only emotion we need Romney to talk about is his undying love of, and devotion to, this country.

I’m not so sure Boehner deserves too much ridicule, his tears express the feelings of his inability to interrupt the downward spiral of a once great country.

We need a President who can capture the emotional range and grit of Stallone in First Blood.

I swear to God, if he starts that bawling $hit, I’ll have to find someone else to vote for. Don’t be a Glenn Beck please! We don’t need a cry baby to lead us out of this mess.

…you can’t be emotional, and perhaps I bow to that too often.

As long as you don’t bow to other world leaders.

Cardigan, you owe us an apology for springing that Boehner Baby picture on us. I got all wee wee’d up when I saw it. Looking forward to saying goodbye to Bawler and Cantor too… you could have made life hell for the Democrats, but you didn’t.
