Nevins Small Business Pledge – small business owners pledging to create a new job the day Romney swears in

Home - by - August 26, 2012 - 09:00 America/New_York - 24 Comments

I’m 41

Russell Nevins – I am Chief of Surgery at one of the largest hospitals in Las Vegas and lucky enough to be a small business owner. I am by no means independently wealthy, nor have any desire to pad a Swiss bank account on the back of anyone, even “the middle class”.

The  introduction is based on a letter I sent to Bill O’Reilly. This explains the purpose of this web site.

I believe I can help Romney get elected. I call it the “Nevins Small Business Pledge”. I, as a small business owner, am pledging to create a new job the day Romney swears in. I can do this from my taxes I won’t have to pay if Obama is elected again.

I believe we can get 100,000 plus other small businesses to do the same in the next 60 days.

We need more pledges like this on national television. Obama cannot beat that or lie his way around it. Business growth depends on the absence of Obama.

    I like that idea.

But also a small business owner, I am afraid my circumstances are a little more dire. How about I pledge that I won’t lay someone off if Romney is elected like I will have to if obama is?

I’m thinking about a website and calling it yeeefuckinghawweresaved.com

Not really a job creater unless I use Obamas math and count every IT, internet designer, engineer and cable guy who worked on it as being employed by me for my $15 dollar a month website.

I just might have to get my ass in line and pledge to start my small business the day Romney is elected. Right now I work under the radar in a cash only business..

I get Nevin’s point but if I play devil’s advocate (in other words, a liberal) I will counter with: why not hire now if you can? Either you have a need for additional labor or you don’t.

No-one wants BHO gone more than I do but this strategy isn’t helpful. To make it seem like middle class workers are pawns is too easy of a target for the progs.

Why hire now if obama is going to tax and regulate your business to death?
We’re hoping that crap will go away when he is gone.

Because, PPC, if you need additional workers, you need additional workers. My company has added several newly created jobs since March because we needed the additional labor. The taxes and other unknowns had to take a back seat to the present needs of the company.

I’m in. I’ll probably have to hire another person because of all the new business i will get.

I think it is about creating new jobs, growing, expansion, all the things that are impossible under the current administration.
If you need to hire by all means hire.
If you want to create jobs so people can get back to work after the destroyer of prosperity is gone, that’s just darn nice and neighborly and American.

Just as business numbers began to slide with the approach of the Dem convention in 2008 and the apparent inevitability of an Obama win in the fall, so business numbers and attitudes are picking up with approach of the GOP convention in 2012 and the widespread belief that businessman Romney will triumph. This upturn is no more to Obama’s credit than the downturn in 2008 was Bush’s fault.

Most important, every small business owner in America should pledge to NOT hire anyone until after
October 30, so that the last jobs report before the election will still have Unemployment at 8%

That’s all it will take to get rid of Obama; no new jobs for the next two months.

Once you realize that, you understand what a dumb bastard Obama was to scorn small businessmen; the very people who hold his fate in the palm of their hands

The day after this clown is replaced you will start to see the economy improve. There’s a ton of money sitting on the sidelines waiting for this fool to be replaced. It’s not just his bad policies, it’s his indecisiveness. He sends a clear signal to the small business community that he has no idea what he’s doing. A lot of us business owners have cut to the bone while riding this guys term out. And we all look forward to being able to expand back to where we were. Which translates into jobs.

I don’t think it will be the day he’s defeated. Major improvement won’t come until the day he actually leaves the WH and they have to pry his and Mooch’s fingers from AF1.

There’s entirely too much damage he and his lame-duck congress can do before Jan. 21.

Nutjob. The small businesses that have not survived Obamanomics should find out “Who Did Build That” so they can send their creditors to them.

I know a professional massage therapist who’s business has been booming and expanding — she had to hire extra workers — since Oh-Bammy has been in office. You can understand why with all the extra stress that son of a bitch has created in lieu of jobs.

I’ll be happy if my kids can go out and get a real job next year when he is gone.
