Ryan Urged Akin To Step Down

Home - by - August 22, 2012 - 14:00 America/New_York - 13 Comments

Now we have to pull that idiotic plank of the GOP platform, no abortions under any circumstance ever, before it is gleefully shouted at the RNC for everyone to hear.

At some point they must shut up and move on to the next fiasco.
This just plays into the enemy’s hands.

    Enough of this shit.
The Democrats are our enemy, and we need to win the Senate in order to beaat Obama and his army of mindless sheep.

akin said something stupid, and the dems are in full attack mode. Fine, look at all the stupid things the libs have said in the past.

Akin apologized, so it’s time to get behind him and help him win in the Senate so we can defeat Harry Reid…PERIOD.

Voters in The Show Me State have a choice; McCaskil, or Akin. A VOTE FOR A THIRD PARTY IS A VOTE TO KEEP HARRY REID AND THE DEMS IN CHARGE OF THE SENATE!

    VOTE FOR AKIN!

Bring on the abortion issue liberals…bring it on. I’ll stand by the “idiotic plank of the GOP” any day in comparrison to the evil left’s stance on abortion which includes infanticide (can you say slippery slope Fur?), full-term slaughter and targeted black babies…bring it.

    @Death_By_Farts

You are deluding yourself if you think this clown has any chance of winning. Lauer is right, he is alone and he is toxic. He will have no money, no endorsements, only his ego and his selfishness to run on. This guy is dumber then a box of rocks, he did not misspeak, he actually believed that a woman can will herself to not get pregnant after rape.

I would not only not vote for him but given his intractability I would go out of my way and make sure his days in the House were numbered as well. All we had to do was focus on the issues, to keep bringing Obama and his crew back to the economy and his dismal failures, but this dunderhead reframed the entire debate.

If he stays McCaskill wins, the senate is lost and the country is ruined, yes, it is that simple.

As far as Akin…yes he should step down, we don’t have the time to fight it and it is of the utmost importance that we have a viable candidate.

If Sarah Palin’s pick Sarah Steelman can step into Akin’s slot and run, then he should step down. If the ballot is Akin or McCaskill, hold your nose and vote (R).

Having Akin as 1 vote out of 50 in the Senate is NOT going to reverse Roe v. Wade. Five of the last 8 Presidents since 1973 have been Republican, and not one of them has ever even tried to repeal it.

Keeping this issue alive is what the Democrats want; anything to take the focus off Obama and the Democrats’ systematic destruction of America.

Correct on all counts BFH. As much I despise the practice, abortion is a state rights issue and not included in the enumerated powers granted to the federal government. Nothing wrong with a candidate expressing their personal view, but the RNC needs to leave it alone.

I didn’t realize what a shit storm this subject caused several articles below, but I still agree with BFH on all counts. He expresses my sentiments exactly.

Something smells. This one senate seat could make the difference between a Democrat majority and Republican majority. Are you thinking what I’m thinking???

Democrats spent $1.5 mil to help Akin win GOP primary
