Chieftain! My parents took me to that restaraunt once a month for years bach in the mid to late 70’s.
I loved that place. great food when we did not have alot of money. Dad worked at the Lordstown GM plant,on Sundays we would head up hwy 11 and visit with his freind and always stopped off at the sweden house. Good times.

63′ Chevy Impala 4 dour. I wet sanded and painted it primer gray. Then I jacked up the back end (cause that was cool). I put Crager S/S mag 60 wide mag wheels on it. I also replaced the 230 head with a 250 ci head to boost the meager horsepower.

Music was an 8-track with Deep Purple Machine Head and I think the Scorpians and some old doo wop stuff.

First job started before the car, working on the farm from sun up to sun down. I could have kicked anybody’s arse back and broke a lot of other guys bones in football practice and games.

I was wearing flip flops working in a rug warehouse and I slipped while pulling a huge rug out of a rack and separated my scapula from my ribcage. Since I knew somebody was going to have to set it back in and I would want to punch them when they did I just snapped it back into place myself and it was good as new after a few days. Stupid injury though.

Prelim info: I’m 49; Live in Irvine, CA. Been conservative my whole life. Voted Reagan in ‘84 in my cherry election. Mother was allergic to dogs and cats so never got in the habit of having pets.

1- First car ever was a Ford Pinto in a slightly off-piss shade of yellow with tint of puke green. Not a babe magnet, that’s for sure.

2- I’d listen to whatever was playing onthe classic oldies station

3- First real job was putting points on the ends of aluminum tubes. You’d stick the tube into this machine called a swager, which ws exactly like a giant pencil sharpener. Basically I sharpened giant pencils for eight hours.

4 – Would loved to have done that job for 12 hours a day. Didn’t really tax your mind very much. Left you with a lot of time to think

5 -Never played musical instrument, but made a helluva racket with that swager machine.

6- My offbeat celebrity beauty would be Kirstie Alley even in her Earth Mother mode. I’d only put my foot down if she goes past 275. As a general rule I can’t abide a woman who weighs more than I can bench for 20 reps.

I did have one crush on Jason Connery, son of Sean, who was Robin Hood in the British TV series. I had been dating Mancakes for about year when we went to visit his parents. They had just come back from London where they had dinner at some famous ballerina’s house (my father in law painted ballet) and said they sat next to Jason Connery. First motor VEHICLE I owned was a 1974 Honda Elsinore dirt bike I bought brand new with money I earned myself. Since I wasn’t yet old enough to get a license I had to walk it a couple of miles to the dirt tracks.

My 1980 Plymouth Arrow with the flames on it had a wobbly cassette deck. I was listening to The Beatles, The Records, Rockpile, Squeeze and Elvis Costello. Come to think of it, I ended up walking more when I had that pile of crap car!

Worked for a week in a big machine shop where my dad was an architectural designer. At 14 I was probably breaking 20 OSHA laws by operating equipment.
