Late Night Art Video – Or, What Is It That I Just Watched?
I like Sigur Ros. I’m a fan of thematic haunting riffs that go nowhere, or everywhere.
The video, starring Shia LaBeouf, is… is…
Well, watch it if you like avant garde art pieces.
Brief Nudity – NSFW

What does it say about me that when there’s a nude couple my eyes go to the dude first?

I guess I’m the stupid one because all I saw was one of the worst pieces of trash on the Internet.

The musical piece reminds me of my early SCUBA diving days when I first went deep, turned over and looked up at the surface from 125 feet down. Disney’s people came up with a similar animated mood video set to some piece I can’t recall offhand as a part of its frustratingly brief FANTASIA II feature back in the 1990′s.
The visual has some appeal as a dance piece but it’s more reminiscent of stoned hippies at Woodstock. There’s a reason that dancers usually bind their hair.
And Morrison’s line about “the scream of the butterfly” comes to mind, though the dancers are too young to have heard that and I never understood it in the first place.
Thanks for this opportunity, though, Fur.

Well, it ain’t no ‘Moonlight Sonata’, but not bad.
The vid was a little off. I thought it was funny when about the 4:20 mark it looked like he was thinking, “Dude, she’s got my pantyhose on!” I understand what they were trying to portray, but it didn’t quite work, did it?
Maybe for some it did though. That’s cool.

Reminds me of Lasse Hoile’s work. Inspiring yet creeps me out at the same time.

I was waiting for the yellow submarine. Got 3 1/2 minutes into it and that is all I could stand. I think I will wait for the book…..and not read it.

@Conservative Mike, I wasted 5 more minutes on it than you did. You made a wise decision to bail at 3:30.

If that was Art, you can keep it.
If that was satire, it was pretty murky.
If that was porn, I’ve seen better.
If that was a waste of time, money and talent, it was brilliant.

Another case of “make something stupid, call it art” as if that insulates it from people properly calling it stupid.
