Chicks On The Right @chicksonright Does this freak anyone else out, or is it just me? There is something seriously WACK about this professor.
Professor Julian Savulescu said that creating so-called designer babies could be considered a “moral obligation” as it makes them grow up into “ethically better children”.
The expert in practical ethics said that we should actively give parents the choice to screen out personality flaws in their children as it meant they were then less likely to “harm themselves and others”.

The academic, who is also editor-in-chief of the Journal of Medical Ethics, made his comments in an article in the latest edition of Reader’s Digest.
He explained that we are now in the middle of a genetic revolution and that although screening, for all but a few conditions, remained illegal it should be welcomed.

maybe these babies are just being engineered for gays so that when the kids grows up and find out what’s going on they won’t try to light the house on fire or drop bricks on people from an overpass

Don’t tell me that little waste of processed tree carcass is still in business. Eleanor tried out for the centerfold in 1938. She won…and was featured in the Braille Edition.

Makes sense in the liberal phucktard world.
Phuckwad prog parents don’t want the bother of raising their progeny. After all, the little urchins are just trophies to hang on the mantle. “Look Muffy, daughter #2 just made 2nd violin in the school orchestra and son #1 just made the cheerleader squad.” Might as well genetically alter their behavior.
It’s so much easier and neater, without the fuss and muss.
Coming to a Brave New World near you.

“Whether we like it or not, the future of humanity is in our hands now. Rather than fearing genetics, we should embrace it. We can do better than chance.”
Who’s fucking hands was it in before, dipshit? And a scientist saying we can outsmart nature/evolution? Now that’s hubris.
Overeducated. Liberal. Control Freak.

Oh and another thought: Checking the sex of the baby is “voluntary,” and see the gigantic problems it is causing in some countries, such as India.
Don’t like what you see? Abort. Child came out different that what you expected or were promised? Leave it out on a cold night to die quickly. One might THINK that would be illegal but with the upside-down world we are currently inhabiting, doesn’t seem likely.

Wonderful idea. Make them all nice. Let them be easy going so that they make good serfs for their masters. Take away aggression altogether and what do you get? A passive slave. Perfect for the Antichrist. By the time your Stepford babies grow up, I’ll be dead. Thank goodness.

“Savulescu argues that humanity is on the brink of disappearing in a metaphorical ‘Bermuda Triangle’ – unless certain eugenic steps are taken to correct what he considers to be aberrant human behaviour and overly liberal laws.”
Were I he, I should be more concerned about losing my own humanity..
Seriously, how the hell are people who think like this given the legitimacy of a platform? Just more bad academia?

The word “wack” is too weak. This man’s thoughts and words are being motivated by evil.
Everything he is suggesting is a violation of the law of God.

@Troy: “Can we genetically genocide liberal thought?”
Close, but not how they intend to implement it. Remember, they’ve already declared conservative thought to be a mental disorder – closely tied with racism and violence. Please have the $2.50 in cash to pay for your execution bullet with you when you report for “re-education.”

You are so right. No needle is going to eliminate sin. Even the nicest folk in the world are tempted by the Devil. They, being the humanist/atheist they are, neglect the reality of the soul AND spirit of the individual. No surgical manipulation can alter the carnal nature of man into something that it can never be (“For all have sinned and come short in the glory of God.”). To do so, would mean our Savior died in vain. It doesn’t make sense. They’ll be monsters with smiles on their faces. Creepy.

if conservatism is a mental disorder then they will make all the babys libtards? *Oh My *, if we look at who does the most killing, and mass killings, it’s more often the not left leaning ppl. So that means there will probably be 50 or 60% more mass murders. Blaming the right wing extremists doesn’t make it so………

Interesting that this subject should come up, once again, at this point in history. The only reason someone is trying to solve a problem is because they perceive there is a problem to begin with.
If this was persued then God and nature could no longer be blamed. Then what?

I reread Brave New World a few wks. ago. It’s all summed up in chapter 17 when John the savage says; “But I don’t want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want goodness,I want sin.” None of these things will be allowed if this fool has his way with the genetic engineering of children. I prefer things the old fashioned way with God in control and not some progtard do gooder who thinks he has the best interests of man under his control. Every time man has tried this it has failed clear back to Cain and Abel, the tower of Babel and ultimately back to Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden when she was tempted by the Devil and ate the apple from the tree of Knowledge of good and evil. I prefer that my wisdom come from God everytime and not the latest pied piper who’s peddling the same old BS that the Devil tempted Eve and all of mankind with. I pity this fool and those who believe the way he does. Me like John the savage, I WANT GOD!!!

Dr. Mengele, I presume? The “illustrious” professor actually went out of his way state that his procedure/treatment would in no way be “Nazish”. What else can it be when a “higher authority” determines which behaviors are acceptable and which are not? Let’s leave being the “higher authority” in God’s hands.
