Following you didn’t build that – Obama says wealthy got ‘lucky’
You didn’t build that! Someone else made that happen! These are the famous words of a Marxist Democrat running for president. Today, he doubled down on his Marxism by declaring that wealthy are simply ‘lucky’ and ‘fortunate.’ Not a word about how they worked hard to get to where they are, or how they accumulated their wealth. They were simply ‘lucky’ to be wealthy. He made his Marxist remarks at a campaign stop in Iowa. And Obama’s definition of ‘rich’ in this case is those making $250,000 and up.
“If you’re lucky enough, and fortunate enough, and been blessed enough to be in the other two percent, the top two percent, you still get a tax cuts for your first $250,000 of income,” Obama said during a campaign stop in Council Bluffs, Iowa. “All we’re saying is after that, maybe you can do a little bit more to help pay down this deficit and invest in things like education that help our economy grow.”

This just chaps my ass. Lucky is a 3rd worlder’s mantra, Americans are lucky. 3rd worlders have zero concept of how capitalism works, what its like to roll everything you have and can borrow on an idea, to limit your family to 2 children, to heat up the beans for 3 days and on and on.

The way I see it, wealth has three sources: Exceptional skill, great effort, and good luck.
Exceptional skill is useless unless it is applied with great effort.
Hard work in the absence of exceptional skill may deliver pay, but not wealth.
Even the combination of hard work and great skill is no guarantee of wealth. Face it. Luck is a factor.
Only luck can deliver wealth in the absence of the other two sources.
It follows that there are three types of wealthy people:
A) those whose wealth comes primarily from hard work, followed by skill, and good luck.
B) those whose wealth comes primarily from great skills, followed by hard work, and good luck.
C) those whose wealth comes from little or no work, little or no skill, and great luck.
Even if we (falsely) assumed that the wealthy fell evenly into the three categories only one third of the wealthy got rich by luck alone. The other two thirds of the wealthy busted their asses to get where they are, and they have to keep busting their asses to stay where they are. Those whose wealth comes from luck alone seldom stay wealthy for long. But you notice, too that while luck may be the sole source of wealth, for some; it does play some role in all wealth.
Here’s where the demagogue Obama insinuates the sleazy, and evil lie- he compares the wealthy to the poor, then implies that all wealth is the result of luck. He appeals to the lowest stirrings of avarice and envy. Finally, he can appeal to raw covetousness, and imply, if not say outright that the wealthy have no real claim on their wealth, and that it should be confiscated, and redistributed. Because it’s only fair.

I ended a friendship with a long time friend because of such remarks – she was always stating that “I was lucky that I got a vacation to France” (I didn’t win it, I saved my pennies and traveled with my sister and her 15 year old daughter staying in 2 star hotels!); that I was lucky that I got a lot of contracts (forgetting about the many, many proposals I would submit) etc.
After a time I became so annoyed with her comments that diminished the work that I did – all the while her work and life were going south (which of course she had NOTHING to do with).

David Axelrod, Obama’s chief adviser was raised by parents who’s writings were regularly published in commie journals. He appointed openly communist and commie sympathizers and admirers to his cabinet and czar positions. And everything that comes out of his mouth is unrecognizable as American in nature.
