Joe Biden To Be Named New Editor of Time – They Want To Clear The Swamp of Plagiarism
When CNN host and Time editor-at-large Fareed Zakaria wrote a new piece called “The Case for Gun Control,” it ended with a bang: “So when people throw up their hands and say we can’t do anything about guns, tell them they’re being un-American–and unintelligent.”
Here’s something that suggests a lack of intelligence: plagiarism. Cam Edwards at NRANews.com suggested to me that Zakaria seemed to plagiarize a paragraph from an April article in The New Yorker magazine — with a modicum word-usage changes and interjections (Texas!) in an attempt to paper it over. Here’s a paragraph from his Time piece:
Adam Winkler, a professor of constitutional law at UCLA, documents the actual history in Gunfight: The Battle over the Right to Bear Arms in America. Guns were regulated in the U.S. from the earliest years of the Republic. Laws that banned the carrying of concealed weapons were passed in Kentucky and Louisiana in 1813. Other states soon followed: Indiana in 1820, Tennessee and Virginia in 1838, Alabama in 1839 and Ohio in 1859. Similar laws were passed in Texas, Florida and Oklahoma. As the governor of Texas (Texas!) explained in 1893, the “mission of the concealed deadly weapon is murder. To check it is the duty of every self-respecting, law-abiding man.”
Compare that in its organization to this paragraph from a Jill Lepore New Yorker article from April:

INTELLIGENTSIA!!
As Adam Winkler, a constitutional-law scholar at U.C.L.A., demonstrates in a remarkably nuanced new book, “Gunfight: The Battle Over the Right to Bear Arms in America,” firearms have been regulated in the United States from the start. Laws banning the carrying of concealed weapons were passed in Kentucky and Louisiana in 1813, and other states soon followed: Indiana (1820), Tennessee and Virginia (1838), Alabama (1839), and Ohio (1859). Similar laws were passed in Texas, Florida, and Oklahoma. As the governor of Texas explained in 1893, the “mission of the concealed deadly weapon is murder. To check it is the duty of every self-respecting, law-abiding man.”

The only time hear about this guy is when he is being suspended for one thing or another. He doesn’t care. He is stupid. Instead he should be made to endorse a one month paycheck to the NRA.

Except that there are two problems with this argument. District of Columbia v. Heller and McDonald v. City of Chicago.
It’s constitutional, bitches!

I’m pretty sure slo-joe can’t read. At least not beyond the 3rd grade level. But that should be enough for a terrorist-collaborating rag like Time.

fareed – ever the elitist puke – thought his editors and readers were too dumb to discover his plagarism.

“Suspending his column for a month”? FFS. Even the few who believed him won’t believe him now. Get rid of the weasle.

As the plagiarizing asshole (asshole!)will explain when cornered, “You are all ignorant Islamophobes. As all words come from Allah, who are you to judge my usage of the words Allah has provided me, and who am I to refuse Allah’s gift?”

You watch, Moe Tom. Barkah is bedazzled by this fraud, and Hillary has already said she will not serve as SOS should Barkah win another term. Guess who is on the short list to take her place? This “accidental unfortunate copy/paste malfunction” won’t even be a speed bump in his Senate confirmation hearing if McCain has any say. Obama’s second term will be heavily populated with hard-core marxist nut-crushers and fanatical islamists, all loading up their carts before the clock runs out. Barkah must lose.

Because in those days society was not entrenched in mass hoplophobia. They WANTED you to open carry. Try to open carry a handgun in most states now. The first half-witted little feminized male who sees you will have the police on his cell phone claiming that you are going murder everyone on the planet with your assault rifle that shoots a million rounds of explosive, armor piercing, plutonium ammo per second.
I’m starting to think that the end of the world can’t get here soon enough. Most of the human race no longer deserves the gift they were given.

So, the states have wiped their butts with the 2nd amendment for a long time and gotten away with it, high time to correct and old, old problem.
