Does a bisapien walk around with a vagina and its wang hanging out of it?
I was 12 in 1965, didn’t see it and from the preview it looks like I didn’t miss anything. And where’s Count Floyd or John Candy from Monster, Chiller, Horror Theater to introduce this turkey. Or at least Mystery Science Theater 3000 to make fun of it.
I’m speechless. They predicted modern Democrats all the way back then.
Stranded in Sonoma
This movie is shown occaisionally on Turner Classic Movies. It’s the typical Saturday night “thriller” shown locally by some queen or master of darkness wannabe.
I actually watched the entire movie. If I had to sum it up in one word, that word would be: Drapes. Instead of spending money to expand the sets, they just hung drapes in the background. I never knew the future would be just like Johnny Carson stepping out onto the Tonight Show stage.
Sorry I missed that one, Fur. Yeah, right!
So that’s where Big Sis, Napolitano came from. Half man, half malignant mind.
So now we know where Lady Gaga’s parents came from.
Saw it on TCM last week. It was like Forbidden Planet but without a budget stars plot humor or capable actors. Other than that though, quite similar.
So, let me get this straight: A Mastermind sees a beautiful woman and instead of wanting to be WITH her he wants to BE her.
…….Wild, GAY Planet!!
Xavier, I bet it didn’t a have Robbie the Robot though or cool special effects done by Disney. Forbidden Planet along with the original War Of The Worlds are some of the greatest scifi movies ever.
Forbidden Planet is one of my favorites. I was just being a smart ass – there is nothing similar about the films, one is a masterpiece, and one is trash worthy of the MST3K treatment.
@Stranded, haven’t seen this one, but I’ll watch for it after seeing this. TCM is one of the few reasons I still have a TV.
I love those old movies… I have the posters for some of the great ones…”Attack of the Killer Tomatoes”, and one of my favorites, “The Killer Shrews”, which is to die laughing.
The “shrews” were dachsunds wearing bath-mats. Hilarious!
The whole thing is on YouTube.
@norman einstein — I watch loads of old movies on Hulu and Youtube. Just watched The Fountainhead (Gary Cooper, Patricia Neal) the other night and watch “The Best Years of Our Lives” (again) last night. Not all old films are on the internet for free, but there are a lot of them. And I especially am enjoying old British films lately.
Mr. Hat — it would have been fun to cut obama into the end sequence “Mine! Mine! Mine!”
Y’all can get Public Domain movies at IA. A lot are B movies but that’s still better than the crap coming out today. Free and legal.
So that explains why Moo is an angry bisapien.
@Xavier, thanks for that link!!
There’s all kinds of great stuff there.
I’ve just started watching a W.C. Fields/Mack Sennett film I’d never seen before….”The Pharmacist” (1933).
Very cool site.
Glad you like it. I check the “All items – most recent first” daily and download anything interesting to a large external drive. IA is a very extensive site – not just movies – so I’d suggest you explore a bit to get an idea of what’s available. And again, it’s completely free and legal.
Xavier, thanks also for the link to old movies. I just looked up some old comedies, I love Buster Keaton movies. Steamboat Bill Jr. is on the list and others. May have to spend some time watching. And lots of film noir movies, great stuff. And you’re right these old movies are far better than 90-95% of the crap that comes out of Hollywood today.
The General is in there! And there’s a series of BK short comedies that I just downloaded too.
Sometimes the built-in search doesn’t work so great so you may want to resort to just browsing page by page. Just remember where you were, it’s huge!
