This just in: Mitt Romney caused cancer death

A new ad from a super PAC supporting President Obama ties former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney to a family’s loss of health insurance and a woman’s subsequent death from cancer.
It’s the fourth hard-hitting ad from Priorities USA Action that focuses on former workers at companies closed by Romney’s former private equity firm, Bain Capital.
“I don’t think Mitt Romney understands what he’s done to people’s lives by closing the plant,” said Joe Soptic, a former employee at GST Steel in Kansas City, in the ad. He says he lost his health care, and then his wife became ill.
“I don’t know how long she was sick, and I think maybe she didn’t say anything because she knew that we couldn’t afford the insurance,” Soptic adds. When she finally went to the hospital they found out that it was stage-four cancer, he says. She died soon after.
Soptic concludes, “I do not think Mitt Romney realizes what he’s done to anyone, and furthermore I do not think Mitt Romney is concerned.”

e states that she went to the hospital and got medical care. It was her problem that she didn’t go beforehand. also, Romney wasn’t even at Bain Capital when all this went down. Obummers ads are making Obummer look bad.

My guess is this guy had a large home, three cars, three large screen TV,s, etc. He was making a good union wage with benefits for many years. Yet it is up to taxpayers and Mitt Romney (while no longer working for that company) to make certain that this asshole’s wife has health insurance?

As usual, the ad is full of partial truths and distortions.
Soptic was offered a buy-out package sometime after 1999, which he refused. Romney left Bain in 1999, the plant was closed in 2001, at which time Soptic lost his job without the voluntary buy-out package.

Tying his wife’s death, which occurred five years after he lost his job – in which, during a period of that time, she had her own insurance – is a despicable distortion.
We can only hope that by November, enough independents and undecideds finally can’t stand the stench of this administration any longer, and choose to flush the toilet.
