How Horrible is Harry Reid When Even Richard Cohen Slams Him?
In “The Godfather Part II,” a senator from Nevada is portrayed as corrupt. His name is Pat Geary. In real life, a senator from Nevada is a jerk. His name is Harry Reid. (You forgot corrupt, Cohen. -bfh)
Reid is where he loves to be: the center of controversy. He has accused Mitt Romney of paying no taxes for 10 years.
Whether such a source exists, really, is beside the point. It could be that someone did indeed tell Reid that Romney paid no taxes for 10 years. Journalists get that sort of tip all the time, and their responsibility is (1) to check it out and (2) identify the source. Reid has not done the latter and apparently has not done the former, either. The truth is that Reid doesn’t really care if the charge is true or not. He would prefer the former, but he’ll settle for the latter.
For Reid, this is yet another brazen and tasteless partisan attack. As majority leader, he has managed to sink the public image of the Senate even lower than it would otherwise be. He contributes to bad feelings, gridlock and the sense — nay, the reality — that everything is done for political advantage. Reid is a crass man, the very personification of the gaudy and kitschy Las Vegas Strip.

The reason for Reid’s behavior is quite simple. He really doesn’t care if Obama gets re-elected or not. This is about retaining his position as Majority Leader. He has 4 years left until retirement, and simply does not want to suffer through the humiliation of answering to McConnel, losing his status, and being helpless to block Republican legislation incoming from the House.
Simply put, he is scared. When people are scared badly enough, they know no limitations.
He has a pretty bad feeling about what’s coming in November, and he already saw Pelosi get de-throned in 2010…His turn is coming shortly.

For one libtard to accuse another of McCarthyism is like a kick to the ‘nads. They despise everything about McCarthy because, while he was telling the truth, he was not very ethical in how he went about it. So they use him as a prop as to how all Republicans will act if given the chance.
Except now we have a new name for it — Reidism. It is the practice of making accusations of criminal activity toward a political opponent without proper regard for evidence.

I don’t know where all of this “Reid is a pedophile” stuff is coming from. I have heard from credible sources that Reid is absoultely, positively not attracted to little children, because, “Their hips break when you fuck ‘em.”
And never forget, the corrupt Gaming Commission chair from “Casino” is based on Reid – the movie even used some of his exact quotes.
