I’m getting numb, and not comfortably. The shirt didn’t even shock me.

That is a concern, isn’t it? And it is not an accident. Progressive numbness blunts our shock and outrage.

Every once in a while, I try to put myself in the place of someone who lived several generations ago, and look at stuff like this as if with their eyes. Sometimes I can recapture that feeling of total disbelief, but it’s not easy. May God keep us focused on what is good, so that we may clearly discern between that and what is evil.

Calling Christians an easy target is an insult to easy targets. Three-weeks-dead kittens fight back with greater ferocity.

I get the “turn the other cheek” approach, but on some level, it really looks like no one actually cares enough to do anything.

@MaryfromMarin: A couple of weeks ago, Ann Barnhardt posted a great series of YouTube videos, where she talked about the Vendee massacres of Catholic peasants during the French Terror. She mentioned that even in the depths of the Terror, the most vicious and extreme anti-clerical militants would never have uttered blasphemy and obscenity that creeps like this so casually drop today.

    @Skorpion–

The persecution of Christians in our country is a pincers movement. On the one side, what we have experienced mostly–so far–is growing marginalization through belittling, vilification, slander, and dishonoring (this shirt, for example). On the other side, we have the (IMO, but held by many others, too) inevitable arrival of violent persecution by Islamic militants, as is now happening in nearly every other country in the world. We are being pushed from both sides, and I don’t see it stopping any time soon.

The ONLY thing that will withstand this is a strong and unshakeable faith in the power, love, mercy, and ultimate victory of God.

Faith does not mean passivity. My interpretation of “turning the other cheek” is that it applies only to one’s own cheek. If other people are threatened, it changes the response.

And faith is not a weak, mealy-mouthed concept, as the adversary would like you to believe. It takes strength to have faith, and faith is the foundation of strength. Only strong faith could have produced the original Crusaders, or someone like Bonhoeffer.

My greatest concern is not for my skin, but that our descendants and their loved ones stay strong in their faith in the Holy Trinity and not succumb to the coming tyranny of the devil.

I don’t even know what to ask for, so I keep asking that His will be done always.

“Faith does not mean passivity. My interpretation of “turning the other cheek” is that it applies only to one’s own cheek. If other people are threatened, it changes the response.” Amen to that Mary.

    @ Bad Brad:
I understand the response. But you know as well as I do that these scum are wishing, hoping, and trying their hardest to get someone to do exactly that. Nothing would make them happier than to have a white, heterosexual Christian male give some vermin like this guy a well deserved poke in the snoot.
And you know exactly what would happen: The enemedia would have it top story, News at Four, Front page story above the fold- Violent Christians lash out at First Amendment Rights- Gay activist beaten.
That shirt is a visual stench.
The way I look at it, any guy who would wear that already has such deep rot in his own heart and soul that he can’t possibly be anything but bleak, angry, and miserable inside. And you know what they say about mud wrestling a pig. Shunning them is about the best you can do.

Right now I’m having to forgive the bishops of the RC church for their work in handing over our country to the progs. However, the populace who so willingly kept themselves busy with sports, sex, inane TV, etc. need take responsibility for voting for the demise of our country.

Google Phyllis Schlafly of Eagle Forum. In her new book, she names names and shows how the CCHD helped Obummer.

There is another book that falls right in line with what Ann has been saying. It’s _Aa-1025: The Memoirs of a Communist’s infiltration in to the Church._

I read it first many years ago, and have since re-read it several times. Each time it became much more plausible because we can see the fruits.

God has His own way of “taking care” of this sort of thing. It is upsetting, but only up to the point where I remember that God’s power is nothing to fool around with. The person wearing that shirt may be dirt bag now, but you just never know what can happen. The best thing for me to do as a Christian is to repent my own sins, try to be Godly myself and wait patiently. I want to live the kind of life that invites others to come have a taste — you know what I mean.

Starts in the home. Something that the government has been chipping away at for many many years. When you destroy the family unit you destroy the moral and ethical fabric of society itself.

This individual was once a small child with no pre-conceived notion that they would one day wear such an offensive and anatomically incorrect shirt. They had help along the way.

It is quite possible we are witnessing the fundamental transformation of the United States of America, with Hussein being the current incarnation of what embodies this evil.

Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus!

@MaryfromMarin: “Only strong faith could have produced the original Crusaders, or someone like Bonhoeffer.”

I respect the Crusaders, but they’re hundreds of years gone. Bonhoeffer, less so. I don’t doubt his belief, but anyone who laments the destruction of Communists/Socialists…. I strongly suspect ol’ Dietrich would have been an ardent liberation theologist, had he lived.

Unfortunately for its future, modern Christianity seems much more Bonhoeffer than Crusader – the concept of the Church Militant is pretty much an historical footnote.

The one and the biggest difference between Christianity and Islam, Christianity is a religion of grace and mercy and Islam isn’t. Jesus would forgive this guys transgression for wearing this T shirt, Islam would call hom an infidel and cut his head off. Which would you prefer? Mercy and grace trumps barbarism and vengeance every time. I prefer a real God and not a phony anti Christian deity like Mohammed.

Yes, this guy is a demon-possessed, Satan worshiper, but believe it or not God’s grace and mercy is keeping this waste alive. He still has a chance to know the Jesus he curses.
He’s a puny, mental case in reality – daring God to do something…anything to stop the misery.
“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”-1 John 4:4. As a Christian we should have the faith and boldness to let a guy like this know that Jesus Lord of all.
