Coulter calls Kerry a “Gigolo”
On Thursday night’s “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel, conservative columnist Ann Coulter explained what in her view is motivating the calls for presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney to release a decade of his tax returns.
According to Coulter, author of the forthcoming book “Mugged: Racial Demagoguery from the Seventies to Obama,” it’s a distraction and an attempt by President Barack Obama’s campaign to trump up an issue where Romney has likely done nothing wrong.
“You know, back to the tax records — Romney should absolutely not release these tax records. This is outrageous. We know exactly what they’re doing. … This is how they win, Obama wins a [campaign]. It’s like his signature move. This is his modus operandi — unleash, somehow get unsealed, sealed records and then make a big deal out of them, even if there is nothing there. They have already tried to do it with the first two years of tax filings Romney did release and you notice how that just disappeared from the news? All we found out was that Romney paid millions of dollars in taxes and gives a lot to charities.”
But she asked why there were never calls for ketchup heiress Teresa Heinz Kerry, the wife of 2004 Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John Kerry, to release a decade of her tax returns, who according to Coulter was supporting her husband at the time.
