Remind me never to eat there. I’d go to a Chic-fil-a if there was one anywhere near me instead.

Resource allocation in a ‘free for all’ society. Take note, Gary.

Hmm. Well, comparing Vietnam now, and the U.S. now, it would be tough to tell who is more “leftist”, if ya ask me.
I believe they have made strides into capitalism, while we have been making strides into socialism.
Soon it will be a wash

Still a communist country where Christians are “unofficially” harassed, beaten, and forced into secretiveness by the government.
Please pray for those who are conducting after-abortion healing programs and Christians in general over there. Abortion trauma is huge there.
We are only a few years away from that if our “leaders” aren’t kicked out.

My nephew just came back from a trip to that area (both north and south as well as Cambodia and Thailand) and it seems that even though the North tried to stamp out the South’s capitalism the South has had more effect in changing the North toward some sort of capitalism than the north had changing the South toward communism. Everyone still calls Saigon, well Saigon and business of all sorts, big and small is everywhere. Even in Hanoi you could see street business springing up along with deluxe hotels and the like. No doubt the gov’t is trying for a Hong Kong or China like socialist economy but I suspect it is going to fail. It will be interesting to see what the place looks like in 20 years.

BINGO!
Except that according to Gary, human free will doesn’t exist in his society. So all people are programmed to take only what they need. Good luck with that one.

Most that I know in my part of the hood act just like those people. They grab, push, and act like you are there to serve them. Haven’t met one that I liked yet – maybe because they speaka no English. Besides a group of them broke into a friends house, stole her stuff then went to the next house and murdered her neighbor. They got caught and are serving time in prison. BFD.

Compared to Filipinas, those folks are pikers.
At a World Bank party I saw a Filipina at the head of a long queue waiting for the staff to bring out a fresh platter of assorted sushi. When the waiter set down the huge platter, she put down her plate, picked up the entire platter, and carried it over to a table full of her friends. Nobody else in line got any.
