Critic of NBC has Twitter account suspended after network complains

Guy Adams works as a writer for The Independent, a national newspaper in Great Britain. He lives in Los Angeles. Throughout the Olympics, he’s taken to Twitter and ripped NBC repeatedly for its coverage of the Games in America.
Namely, he’s criticized the network’s reliance on using tape delays, a frustration shared by millions of viewers.
Only in a marriage of old media and social media, Guy Adams no longer has a Twitter account. It was suspended Tuesday, and both NBC and Twitter ought to be humiliated by their thin-skinned, heavy-handed, and essentially pointless behavior.
Adams was no doubt relentless in his tweets.
“Am I alone in wondering why NBColympics think its [sic] acceptable to pretend this road race is being broadcast live?” he wrote in one.
“Matt Lauer: ‘Madagascar, a location indelibly associated with a couple of recent animated movies,’” he mocked on another.
Adams encouraged Lauer “to shut up” and called out Gary Zenkel, the president of NBC Olympics, as the “moronic exec behind the time delay.” And he said Zenkel should be fired.

Good point in the article about them NOT suspending Spike Lee’s account, after he posted the incorrect address of a family, whose lives he endangered.
Such f’ing COWARDS.

Expect more and more of this censorship and inequity in the near future. Bank on it, if things don’t go well in November.

Freedom of Press does not mean the PRESSES FREEDOM to censor other out lets of FREE SPEECH! Over the last 15yrs the MSM has been bed w/the federal government, ignoring political scandals (Gun Running, to mention one). Not caring politicians trample over the constitution for their own personal agendas, and gain. Siding with people who want to distroy our gun rights.
Our founding fathets intended the Press to be government “Watch Dogs, not Lap Puppies”. When will the press wake up and do what they were tasked to do? I think only after the government screws them in a bad way! People, remember be careful who you get in bed with, because you could get screwed in a bad way!

The delay; You know, if a terror attack were caught on live broadcast it could incriminate muslims, and that would be offensive to islam.

I seem to recall (way back when) that when the games were actually taking place at “0 dark early” EST time they would be broadcast live with highlites later that evening. Hard core olympic nuts would be watching at 4:00 A.M. while normals would be content to watch the hilites in the evening. Worked back then why not now? NBC are such douchebags.

I refuse to watch anything on NBC, ABC, or CBS. I miss out on some sporting events, but that’s about it. I’m afraid that if I watched any of those propaganda outlets, I’d be inclined to stop doing business with companies that advertise there.

The Independent vs NBC. I’m supposed to cheer one over the other?
