He was on Cavuto today. Very humble guy. Couldn’t tell if he really believed regulatory agencies up to this point have been incompetent or just downright evil.
(Biggie, C.L. Bryant was on GBTV tonight for Beck’s Restoring Love event. He said they got word that the Runaway Slave opening in Atlanta sold out the 7 and 10:30 shows. A documentary sold out a 10:30 show! He was happy, considering some black pastors have told their flocks NOT to see the movie!)

THANK YOU, Mr. Kelly. It’s about time the people who work for us get a damn backbone.

It was good rhetoric and I sincerely wish more politicians would pick up this banner, emote it, believe it and strive to do their jobs ‘for the people’. We truly need more ‘populists’.
But…..call me a cynic, but I smell something.
When he talks about the mirrors being a 1/4″ too low, someone from the audience, right on cue, yells out “Oh my God”. The inflection is from the Method School of Acting (inflection on “God”). The average person making the comment would not have inflection in the statement. Say it yourself. Absolutely staged and unbelievable.
And if that were one of my inspectors that pulled the permit because the mirrors were 1/4″ too low, I would reassign him/her immediately, note it on his/her evaluation and issue the permit. I’ve done it before under similar circumstances, and wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.
BTW, I do believe that regulatory morass is drowning the economic engine of this once great Republic.

I heard this rep. on a radio show last night after his speech, and the radio show host asked him what is wrong with his fellow representatives? Easy enough right? Well he struggled a bit I guess looking for the correct thing to say, and finally said that he just didn’t know.
I know… self preservation.
Now as moving as his comments were he still couldn’t come up with an answer. And I believe the answer he should of immediately said was that the elected officials that are in place should put the country and the people that elected them first. To not worry about re election. They are sent there to do a job for the people and the country, to uphold the Constitution and abide by the laws of the land. Period.
Right now there is no “penalty” for any of the reps. other than maybe not getting re elected. We need people to go to Washington and with passion to get this place back on track and then hand it off to the next group to continue the effort with the same amount of passion and make this country strong, economically, morally and unwavering in the eyes of the world.

As for Mr. Kelly’s reluctance to answer what’s wrong with his colleagues, I can tell him. It’s the cesspool that IS Washington, District of Crime.
Modern technology allows for reps to be IN THEIR HOME DISTRICTS all the time. The Founders didn’t spend their representative lives in D.C. How can you represent constituents when you have no idea what their daily lives entail?
Concentrating them in one place just makes it easier for the lobbyists to gete to them and the power brokers to sway/harrass them.
