The “TEABAGGER” VIDEO IS STILL THERE http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=120344047

Take a look at this video that is being endorsed by the “fair and balanced” outfit, NPR – funded by YOUR MONEY! (But make sure you read the comments section too.)

The makers of the video, as well as NPR, are too stupid to realize that the video vindicates the tea party movement. When the government has such contempt for the tax payer that they are willing to openly mock them AND use their funds to do it, it is time to throw NPR on the ash heap of history.

Update: Here is the contact information for NPR’s Ombudsman http://help.npr.org/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=5670&task=ticket

Here is the phone number – 202-513-3245  CALL NOW.

Update: I just had a conversation with the office of the Ombudsman. They were very courteous and respectful, as I expected them to be. They logged my formal complaint and I made them aware that they may be getting calls from our readers.

Their position, it seems, is that the video appeared in it’s “opinion” section.

Would NPR be equally comfortable letting a racist use their choice of word play when writing their “opinion” of the Million Man March? Hiding behind the “opinion” shield is a low point for the Office of the Ombudsman at NPR.

I urge you to call, but be respectful.

Somewhat off topic, but readers of theis site may be interested to know that rasmussen reports
    http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/obama_approval_index_month_by_month
show obowmas approval index continues to soar like a rock, largely due to more people learning about the sordid details of his pet health care project.

This is not surprising at all coming from the most childish administration EVER. You’ve got to be extremely mentally inadequate to watch something like this and think that it’s ok. How are my tax dollars going to something that insults me AND widens the divide between both political ideals more than it already is?

I live in the middle of nowhere and have to get up before the crack of dawn. I got tired of the obnoxious loud buzzer on my radio alarm clock, so I found only ONE station that comes in at 4am- NPR. “It has to be better than the jarring buzzer”, I said. Needless to say, after only 3 days of the morning leftist indoctrination and insipid jazzy music vignettes, I went back to the buzzer.

I just called and expressed my displeasure with the cartoon, as being offensive to American Taxpayers who don’t support the Radical Left. Also my displeasure as to “PUBLIC” radio and TV being so biased torwards the Left.
I was polite, and the woman at the office was very pleasent to talk with. She said she understands my feelings and they are looking into it.
I said if an author had an offensive cartoon against Muslims, NPR would not run it because it isn’t PC. But American Taxpayers who are Conservatives can be insulted as much as the Left wants. No PC here.

Hi all. Understand, I’m not a Luddite however I wonder why National Public RADIO has an fairly sophisticated website. I can see using it for program schedules, finding a station, some bio’s and the like but why have all the news, editorials, opinions, etc that you could turn to the RADIO to listen to. Have a look at the NPR.org site and ask yourself how much does this cost to maintain and how often is it actually used. It’s your tax dollars.

SCR- quite right. Another thing your tax dollars/donations go to is the typical Government budget scam. My mom worked at the GA public radio station and she explained it to me – say there is a certain amount of money budgeted for the year in the sales dept. If all the budgeted money is not used, the next year’s budget is determined by the actual amount spent. Since no department wants their budget reduced, they run out to spend it on pretty much anything- a new sofa for the office, a new computer, etc (even if it is not needed). She personally witnessed so much waste. There was a mid level manager position that she said was totally unnecessary because his duties were covered by other managers. He would show up, and sit around with absolutely nothing to do, to the tune of $50,000 a year. In the meantime, my dad did a Jazz music show on Saturday nights there for many years, with his salary at less than $8,000/ yr. That is your tax dollars and your “desperately needed donations” at work. NPR is just another Government scam.

Sorry about the Ken Stern $ amount. I knew it was BIG, but you are right, $700 million is too big.
I do remember it was about the size as some of the top wall street CEOs, yet no one was complaining about Stern’s.

_great point. While the government is busy paving the way towards controlling salaries, and demonizing ceo’s for making more than 500k, NPR CEO gets over a million.
    For what?????? – bfh

    @ Cakes -

My ex spent his entire career working for the feds. Unspent funds were always cause for alarm at the end of the year. “Spend it quick or they’ll cut our budget!” Attempts at cost savings were discouraged because of that.

Once he was promoted to pure management (no more engineering tasks), he experienced the utter joy of not being able to fire a subordinate who falsified all of his TDY (temporary duty) expenses. There were depositions, hearings, reprimands, record keeping, and other non-productive tasks undertaken to get rid of the slacker. Their best defense while all this was going on (for well over two years) was to not assign the miscreant any tasks (so he couldn’t screw anything else up) and then “laterally” promote him so he was somebody else’s problem.

THe irony of NPR is that if it weren’t for gov handouts of taxpayers money, it would go the same way air america did (for the same reasons)
Leftists STILL haven’t figured out that conservative talk shows have listeners that buy advertisers products, and liberal shows blow hot airuntil they blow away.

The LibCong at National Socailist Public Radio and PeeBS keep saying that the amount of Federal money they receive is but a small portion of their budget. Okay. Then they won’t really miss it when its gone. Just sell some more over-priced tote bags and DVD’s to take up the slack.
