Candid Progressive Camera
I think I may launch a Kickstarter Campaign to fund a new Youtube series. Tell me what you think.
I want to have a Candid Camera-type show that puts progressives in situations that would reveal their inner thoughts.
Imagine if you will -
We advertise that we’re looking for a progressive to work for the local chapter of the progressive something or other. We make sure the people we “hire” are bona fide progressives with all the appropriate progressive sensibilities.
What’s the first task of the new hire? As the new receptionist they are in charge of directing other applicants that are looking for jobs to the appropriate floor of the building. They are told that the company put two ads in the paper, one for custodial work, down in the basement, and the other for college graduates specializing in social media, up on the second floor. The applicants coming in simply tell the receptionist that they saw an ad in the paper for a job, nothing more.
Let’s see where the progressive directs the people we send in, white people in suits with laptops and black people with droopy pants and a crooked baseball cap!

How about this one?
We put an ad in the paper advertising the need for a very dynamic, professional, progressive couple, to be social media spokespeople for our new something or other outreach something or other.
Chance of a lifetime! Big salary, benefits, etc.
We set up the interview to take place in a restaurant of their choosing. But we alter their favorite restaurant a bit.
Every person in the restaurant will now be Mexican and will all be speaking Spanish, except for the waitress, who speaks very broken English.
Let the fun begin as we eavesdrop on the progressive’s conversation!

How about this?
We put an ad in the paper looking for a progressive couple to work for the social media department of a Climate Change Organization. When they come in we introduce them to another couple who will be their partners for this particular job. We talk a little about their views etc., getting them to talk about the planet being killed by carbon. Then they are told that the job includes traveling for two years to set up social media operations for the organization. They would be flying on a company jet all over the world, 2 weeks at a time, all expenses paid with a salary of 250k a year.
When they are left alone to think, “our” phony couple starts to talk about the moral hypocrisy of the job and that they once implemented an entire global social media operation from one location and that there is no need for travel, and they will tell the company that they should look for TWO other couples if they insist on unnecessary travel being a part of the job.
Let’s see what our two pigeons have to say about being included in that decision, especially when the phony couple leaves them alone to talk.

If you don’t want to use actual businesses (to protect them…and I guess yourself, unless you get some sort of waiver),
*I’d* love to see either
1) the daily, normal, legal-but-immoral abuse of EBT cards exposed (folks buying lobster, steaks), by confronting them as they leave the store, OR
2) a fake setup of some too-good-to-be-true “deal” for the EBTers, who are only too willing to take the bait…and then: BUSTED!

For the first show, it would be fair to have a black woman in a nice outfit with a laptop and a white college age guy with piercings, facial hair, and baggy pants — just to see where the receptionist sends them. If she sends the white “gangsta” to the janitorial job, then she is biased against lower income people. Either way, it will show the liberals to be hypocrites.

In this case, they were showing that young women always gave a false knee-jerk answer, even though they knew better under questioning, but the same would work with progs. Progs do this with EVERY question!

Another name for the series could be “Hypocrisy Theater.”
Each video can start like PBS’ “Masterpiece Theater.” A John Lovitz type character sits in a stuffy-looking wing-back chair, wearing a smoking jacket & ascot, and speaking with a pretentiously snooty accent.
