Accidentally did that once with my beer while I was in a hotel. Had cranked the fridge way down to keep my breakfast stuff frozen, but forgot about it when I had put my beer in there. Cracked the first one open, and I had an instant beer slushy that started to climb like crazy right out of the bottle.

Of course, I could have just let it blurp itself out in the sink, but as we all know, that would be a blatant violation of the Laws of Beer.

Good grief…down here where the cotton is high, we use to do that back in the day before there were slushies or ever heard of 7-11′s.

Next thing you know there’ll be a viral video on how to put peanuts in your co-cola…. that’s right… co-cola.

post script…ten to one odds that the coke in that China vending machine has real sugar in it and NOT the crap we get made with corn syrup.

Supercooled Coke. No biggie. Activated once the cap is popped.

Edith- try looking in your ethnic food aisle at your grocery store. There’s Mexican Coca Cola made with real cane sugar. Ironic, to import something as iconic as Coke from Mexico instead of Atlanta. You can also find Mexican Pepsi.

@Edith and HooHoo — Being in Sonoma County, CA, we have LOTS of Mexican restaurants and stores. They sell the Medio Litro (half a liter) size Cokes from Mexico. They have sugar and you can TELL the difference.

Personally, I think that was the entire adverstising campaign behind New Coke and Classic Coke. They came up with a flavor that everyone rejected and then “switched back” to the “original.” Except they took the sugar out of Classic Coke and replaced it with corn sweetner. At first, it was difficult to tell because you had New Coke taste on the brain. But after a while of drinking Classic Coke you realized it didn’t taste the same as you remember.

I have no proof of that but I believe it.

@Stranded: You are right on… the Classic Coke tasted nothing like the old Coke with sugar in it. It’s only natural, I guess… they have degraded everything. Even Vernor’s is not aged 7 years in wood anymore and you can taste the difference too.

God bless ya Edith! I grew up putting peanuts in a Coke. And you gotta snag up a pack of nabs while you are at it. Cheese or peanut butter nabs will do.

Oh, I do this with beer all the time. I put in in the freezer because I like it super cold and it is so damn hot. sometimes I screw it up and it spews like a volcano, so I have to suck it down really fast, but you get your buzz quicker that way anyways…. LOL :D
