Is anyone here really surprised that Ross would pull a stunt like this? It worked so well for them when they connected Jared Loughner to Sarah Palin and the Tea Party so why not try it again?

This has been standard media MO at least since Kennedy was assassinated. Dan Rather made his career move from local TV to CBS by reporting from “deep in the hate of Texas”, as he and the network attempted to convince the nation that the president was killed by right-wing southern fanatics. The fact that the assassin turned out to be a communist with a history of violence and a penchant for attention whoring media stunts hardly seemed to matter once the narrative was in place and 50 years later, a large number of people consider that killer to a scapegoat or minor player at best.

They keep doing this because it works and it fits the narrative that leftists are always the good guys and never violent. It imparts fear in short attention span “apolitical” idiots who vote Democrap by default and think CNN and Jon Stewart are legitimate news sources. It feeds the perception that the guy with the Gadsden flag bumper sticker is not merely someone who disagrees with you but is literally violent and dangerous.
