James Eagan Holmes
The suspect apprehended in the mass shooting at a suburban Denver movie theater has been identified as James Eagan Holmes, 24, law enforcement sources told CBS News correspondent Bob Orr.
Twelve people died in the shooting at a showing of the new Batman film “The Dark Knight Rises” in Aurora, Colo., early Friday morning. A law enforcement source told Orr the shooting appears to have been carried out by a lone gunman.

How interesting that Ross and ABC News should think to look to the Tea Party website first–and to broadcast politically volatile information without verifying if that “Jim Holmes” is the same as the suspect.
The “Jim Holmes” page on the Colorado Tea Party website is advertising an event with Middle East commentator Brigitte Gabriel next Thursday, July 26–hardly the behavior of a man who expected to be committing a deadly crime on July 20 for which he would certainly be apprehended and might not survive.

I heard someone say a reliable anonymous source saw a george stephanopoulos leaving a gay theater the other day while wiping his chin and zipping up while carrying some pictures of what appeared to be underage boys. Not sure if it’s the same george stephanopoulos, but will have to look into that and see if that is the same guy.

Breitbart.com says the shooter is a registered Dem. And 9News.com, in Denver, has a picture of him. He looks just as creepy as the guy that shot Giffords (also a Dem if I recall correctly).
I’m guessing he went full-blown schizophrenic. He’s highly intelligent, is the right age for a big psychotic break, and recently quit grad school in San Diego where he was studying, believe it or not, Neuroscience and mental illness.
May G-d have mercy on the poor victims and their families.

Not one gun control law prevents criminals from obtaining guns, because criminals don’t abide the laws. Muddjuice’s point was that by allowing law abiding citizens access and the ability to defend themselves with firearms against whackjobs like holmes, the death tolls of these incidents is typically greatly reduced. Cops can’t be everywhere, everytime, and even the Supreme Court ruled that cops don’t have the responsibility to come save your life. You have that primary responsibility, so when a whacko comes at you with a knife/gun/etc. I suppose you are going to do exactly what? Engage in a dialogue? Hug it out? Move along pansy, methinks you have been swimming in kool-aid for too long.

Having less guns on the streets would make us safer because criminals would be less likely to want to hurt people who can’t defend themselves. Therefore, I think we should completely disarm every law abiding American citizen. While we’re at it. If the logic is so fool-proof, let’s disarm the military too, just let them negotiate with other countries that want to kill us and take our land….

If any of you moronic conceal carry backers are ever in a room with me and a mass murderer walks in: be assured you won’t save one innocent life, in fact you will probably cost people their lives. The only positive is that you may draw fire while others escape, but you don’t need a gun to do that, only bravery. Conceal carry backers are by their very nature cowards.
How do we save people from an idiot with a gun? Have multiple idiots with guns of course.
One more idea, let’s attach an intelligence test to gun permits.
