That’s one way to help rehabilitate one’s image. He’s pledged to donate 1% of his profits from his new show, “Anger Management,” or 1 million dollars, at a minimum. Next week he is making his first donation of $250,000 in a private ceremony.

The “Anger Management” star announced Monday that he will donate $1 million to the United Service Organizations (USO), which will go toward an entertainment facility for injured troops in Bethesda, Md. The donation will mark the largest single contribution from an individual in the organization’s history.

Well, that’s a move in the right direction. Now if he can get his old man to do the same, I’ll believe him

Charlie ain’t my cup o’ tea — up close. But, from afar, he’s more real than much of plastic Hollywood and he reads and he thinks and he cares — sometimes with, ah, too much of a passion…?

This is a honest gift. His assessment of the 9/11 implosion is pretty intense and honest as well. (I’ve not studied that, but, even if you call Charlie a fool, he ain’t one, and name calling will never be a big concern of his.)

Good move, Charlie! Thank you, for the troops.

Announcing how much you’re giving to a charity is like bragging how much you put in the basket at church…. BUT we can’t expect an actor to know too much about the real world or what good people do. He’s having to invent it as he goes.

    Good for him.

Great!! More power to him. He has been under a lot of presure, both extenal and self made. Glad he isn’t broke. I like him better than his Dad too…….

And you believe him? I want to see the cancelled checks totaling 1M.

It’s like when a politician says he’s going to give back some ill-gotten contribution. And you believe him?

I just happened to be watching The Tonight Show and was not so interested that Charlie Sheen was a guest. But it was a good show and Charlie made the announcement there.

Comedian Jay Mohr followed and made a political joke regarding Obama’s buddy Kevin Johnson who is mayor of Sacramento.

I don’t particularly care why he’s doing it. That will be between him and his maker, in due time. All that matters, is that the troops benefit from this. So for now, I’ll just say, Thanks Charlie.

First off, good on Charlie, I’m happy to see $$ go to such a worthy cause. God knows our government doesn’t take care of our veterans. But WOW, $1 mil is 1% of the profits of that show? So if my math is right, which is questionable, that show stands to make or has made $100 mil? It’s not even good!
