NYC Pool Reopens After 28 Years
Rename it the cess pool.
Lifeguards fear for their own lives because of gangs, which are most likely comprised of TEA party people.
One lifeguard at Brooklyn’s McCarren Park Pool is wishing he had self-defence training after his workplace has become a brawling hot-spot for violent teenagers.
Lifeguards at New York City’s largest public pool, which re-opened last month after 28 years and a $50 million revamp, struggle to keep order over gangs of aggressive teenagers.
In an interview with the New York Post, one of the pool’s 30 lifeguards has admitted to running off ‘pure adrenaline’ when a gang of teenagers attacked him and his colleagues just a day after the pool’s opening.

Blacks…gotta love ‘em. Meanwhile, showing their appreciation for the $50M in reparations:
“Just a day after opening, the pool had to be closed when a violent brawl broke out where a gang of teenagers allegedly jumped on and assaulted three lifeguards.”

Brooklyn– Not just an accent any more.
Any semblance of civility left with the Dodgers.

A $50 Million cracker bravery test. Who’s cracker ass is first to swim a straight line across the pool? Don’t all raise your hands at once…

@AvgDude, I noticed that, too…the two Norwegians in handcuffs.
“Teenagers”, “teens”, “youths” are all code-words for “Norwegians”.

When I was a kid growing up in Brooklyn, there was this nearby swimming pool. My mother wouldn’t allowed me to go, she said it was filthy. There was always at least one big brawl.
One hot day I went anyway, it looked crystal clear beautiful. When I got home a few hours later, I had a frog eye from some quick acting infection and got in trouble too.

I have never swum in a public pool* since 1981 or so, when I saw a boy, big enough to know better, take a big dump underwater in the pool. I got my little brother, who was also swimming at the pool with me, and made him wait with me until our mom picked us up.
*other than our hometown public pool, which was always safe and clean.

Someone here mentioned “Norwegians”, but I don’t see a single blonde head bobbing in the pool.
Sure you didn’t mean “Nigerians”?

I used to bring my kids to Highbridge Pool in upper Manhattan back in the 60′s. Not a pleasant experience. It prompted me to get out and move upstate.

If it were deep enough to be over the “yoots” head, there wouldn’t be a problem.

They shoul rename it “Rodney King pool” in his memory. Half Sigma covered it some days ago – pool was refurbished against wishes of local residents, who were afraid of influx of NAMs from other parts of Brooklyn. And they were absolutely right.

Not to worry. When Anthoney Weiner and his giant manhood win the Mayor’s office I’m sure he’ll fix this simply by coming down to the pool and flexing his body and revealing his super powered namesake. All will shudder in fear and behave themselves lest Weiner make another appearance.

Across the Dan Ryan from Comiskey Park there was a housing project called Stateway Gardens and there was a pool, maybe half the size of a regulation pool between the buildings.
In the morning I’d commute in by train and the pool was empty aqua blue in color. In the afternoon on the way home, it just looked like a pit of colored folks, there was no blue color visible. If the train posse was on the wrong side, we’d ask some stranger on the other side to check the pool conditions for us. That person always turned back with a look of horror on their face.

Ooops, I was wrong. Not Stateway Gardens that had the pool but Robert Taylor Homes in Taylor Park.
The pool can be seen starting @ 3:30 in the clip below. Also note how the person taking the video gives some background on the 1st Class amenities provided to the people living in these projects and their demise.

Haven’t been to a public pool since 1963.
Ain’t planning on going to one.
And it ain’t just cause of the damned Norwegians, either.
