Exit strategy from the United Nations

For years, pundits, politicians and columnists – including me – have fiercely criticized the United Nations. This institution has become a political cesspool controlled by totalitarian states and rogue nations that despise democracy, liberty and freedom. It’s only getting worse with time.

Look what’s happened during the past two weeks:

Syria is likely to get a seat on the U.N. Human Rights Council. U.N.Watch reported Iran will get a “top post” on the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty conference, which it described as being “like choosing Bernie Madoff to police fraud in the stock market.” Meanwhile, U.N. and Arab Leagueenvoy Kofi Annan claimed to have had a “very candid and constructive” meeting with Syrian dictator Bashar Assad.

These are all ridiculous stories, but honestly, should we be surprised? I’m not. The U.N. has a long, sordid history of electing tyrannies and dictatorships to its various agencies, boards and councils. For an organization that vigorously claims to support world peace, it also vigorously – and controversially – supports countries that don’t have the slightest grasp of this concept.

For example, Libya chaired the U.N. Human Rights Commission in 2003 – and was a U.N. Security Council member in 2008 and 2009. Syria has twice headed the U.N. Security Council, in June 2002 and August 2003.Iran and Iraq were scheduled to co-chair a U.N. nuclear disarmament conference before Saddam Hussein was toppled from power in 2003. Additionally, North Korea – a major nuclear threat – headed the U.N.Conference on Disarmament just last year.

Not to be overlooked is the U.N.’s repeated condemnation of Israel’s policies for more than five decades while ignoring the terrible slaughter of Rwandans and Bosnian Muslims in two bloody civil wars, publicly supporting an antiterrorism conference held in Tehran, and refusing to expel members that openly support and finance terrorist groups. The list goes on and on.

No more organizations. Leave the UN and if anyone wants to support what we do, fine. If not, see ya round the campus.

I have always wondered if having the UN here was more about making it easy for CIA operatives to monito our enemies than resolution of international problems. The down side being cost, the added ability of our enemies to spy on us and the complete freakin joke that it is.

The 3rd world mind is driven by jealousy fueled by the animal-level reasoning that prosperity is achieved by “you took that from me.” The reaction is theft and destruction.

This belief and reaction is succinctly illustrated in the American white trash culture; the most dangerous animals on the planet.

Read some of the comments on the article as posted at WT. There’s a troll on there who is apparently European (I’d guess from the name and usage either Dutch or Scandinavian, probably a Swede or Dane) and is expressing typical Eurotrash opinions of the United States (tainted by slavery, spoiled because we have resources the rest of the world wants, too much freedom and independence…you know, the usual progdouche talking points). Basically, the UN serves as a means to control the American people because we’re too free and the rest of the world is jealous of that.

The United States is the ONLY true force for good in this world, and the ONLY nation that has ever been a force for good. Yes, the British Empire was less oppressive than the French or the Spanish…yes, the Romans brought order to Europe and the Mediterranean, but at what cost? Empires have never been good to those who were subjects of the emperor or king. Yes, the United States had a period where we sought empire…over 100 years ago, and those desires never sat well with the American people. When we gave up OUR empire (yep, the Philippines), we did it after we had tried to leave them with a functioning civil service (annihilated by the Japanese during WWII) and an honest government (also annihilated by the Japanese). We kept our word and delivered them independence on 4 July 1946…only WITHOUT having been able to rebuild what was needed for them to have a functioning society. Only now are they starting to have a somewhat less corrupt government and developing economy. Think of how much better off they may have been if we’d been able to take about an additional five to ten years to help them re-build their civil service, courts, government and economy? Instead, we kept our word and gave them independence, but not the functioning country they deserved. ONLY A COUNTRY WHICH IS BASICALLY GOOD AND DECENT WOULD NOT HAVE SOUGHT THE OPPORTUNITY TO RE-ESTABLISH ITS EMPIRE IN THE WAKE OF A WAR! Bluntly, we weren’t France in Indochina!

The UN is made up of tyrannies and dictatorships who hate liberty. The serfs of Europe, the peons of South America and the slaves of Asia and the Middle East (and the leftist traitors of the Democrat Marxist Party) detest us because we have what they can’t stand: Liberty and individual freedom. We are free to think, to live and to grow as we see fit, not as is dictated by some overlord desires. This is why hussein so hews to the UN and foreign potentates, because he and his whole filthy party detest this nation and what we have (and can again) stand for.

The sooner we can remove hussein from power, the greater our freedoms will be. But the bigger and continuing threat to those freedoms is the UN. I honestly don’t expect Romney to do a damned thing about the UN. He lacks the balls to withdraw from that den of reprobates and degenerates. I also doubt he has the balls to abrogate every rotten and unconstitutional treaty made under the auspices of that gang of outlaws. It will fall to the American people to reclaim, restore and defend our liberties because those who hold office are both unwilling and incapable of doing so. We have the framework for a free and equitable society: The Constitution of the United States of America, pre-1913 version. If we have to defend what we have with force, we should be ready to…and in the process, we should expel the UN from our shores. Only when the Constitution is reestablished and the UN is gone shall we have our liberties secured. Until then, we’re always one step away from slavery.

    @NM Gunman – Amen brother!

We are the envy of the world, and if I’m not mistaken envy is one of the seven deadly sins.

Another is greed. That’s where our politicians and the oligarchs come in. They exist soley to accumulate their own personal wealth, and then shut the door behind them, thus denying the opportunity to anyone else.

That’s what made America so exceptional – our founding fathers opened that door and intended for it to remain open after they left this earth.

I guaran-damn-tee you that Obumphuk has been given assurance of wealth beyond his wildest dreams, if he can successfully bring America to her knees. He MUST be removed from office in 2012.

the UN was created by commies, to be run by commies to make the US into commies.

    http://www.newswithviews.com/Walker/jill4.htm

Alger Hiss was involved, Dean Acheson. this is just par for the course. UN didn’t “become” commie, it’s just amping up the volume because we are closer and closer with the usurper in the WH.

The UN has become an enabler of tyrants, despots and dictators ruling Third World shitholes whilst it undermines democracies and Western Civilization.

Even the League of Nations could do a better job than the current crew of miscreants, murders, misfits and corrupt bureaucrats infesting that snakes nest on the Hudson.
