American Flag Deemed Offensive in Massachusetts Housing Complex

Residents of a Massachusetts public housing complex are outraged that the town’s housing agency has banned the display of U.S. flags outside their homes.

The Wrentham Housing Authority notified residents of the policy through a letter taped to their doors Wednesday.

The unsigned letter says the move was made after a tenant complained to the state Department of Housing and Community Development over the Fourth of July holiday.

Barbara Marshall kept a U.S. flag flying outside Wednesday even after the letter was delivered and tells The Sun Chronicle she has no intention of removing it.

The 82-year-old Marshall, whose brother took part in the D-Day invasion of France, says she was so upset about the letter she had to lie down.

No one at the housing authority would comment.

One complaint and an unsigned notice? Seems a bit fishy to me.

If you are offended by an American flag i have a news flash for you. Boston is a port city with an international airport. Pick a plane or a boat get on it and get the hell out of this country.
And don’t let the door hit you on the way out, there will be plenty of us glad to see you go.
    Good riddance.

Go ahead and try to take my flag down. I got 12 (gauge) reasons that say you’ll never remove another flag……

I wouldn’t even get upset if a country like China wanted to occupy Messachusetts.

There is a federal law that prohibits real estate management organizations from restricting the rights of homeowners to display the American flag.

I’m sure some saavy mouthpiece can make a case that this be extended to all dwellings in the United States.

Simple solution: Evict the one complaining tenant.

Joe, I agree. There are two ways to deal with the complaint.

The non-sense way they did it, by banned the flag.

Or the alternate, common sense, way to deal with the complaint. Ban the complainer.

    – I’m sure the other tenants would gladly chip in to purchase a one way plane ticket to some place else. Preferably a different country. One he/she didn’t get to choose.

Evidently the state of Mass. is backing down and saying “of course they can fly a flag, we knew nothing about this letter.” Hooray again for public pressure.

This kind of shit is like high school. One person causes a ruckus, and everyone has to stay after school. 54% of this country needs to grow the fuck up.

the last time i was in boston, there was a group of prog buildings that wrap around the boston common park. a tea party patriot samuel sprague is buried there. there are many offices and government buildings that surround the park. many had their own large flag drapped from windows for parkgoers to see. the one that stood out was hijacked homosexual rainbow flag. sprague is rolling over in his grave.

I first read this news story on Drudgee tonight.

A thought struck me after reading it: do countries in Europe ban the public display of their national flags? Do Islamic-run third world shitholes bar the public display of their national flags? Do South American and Central American communist/socialist-run countries bar the public display of their national flags?

    Answer: NO

In our great nation, it’s only America-hating liberal failures who view the American flag with enmity. They know The Flag symbolizes freedom, success and the pursuit of happiness. In comparison, they know their Libtard lives symbolize failure, hatred, class-warfare, racism, fascism. They are mired in the pig sty of their own filth and have a burning anger and hatred to bring the rest of us down to their level, instead of fighting to improve their own lives and get out of the pig sty on their own.

If the other residents had half a brain, every apt would’ve had Old Glory flying the next morning (sans the doofus who complained — and it would be OBVIOUS).
