Awesome!!! Yet more validation that Republicans supported Civil Rights and Democrats were the opposition.

Do they have to be hit over the head with a hammer?

If Mitt Romney were at a KKK rally it would have been headline news. It is doubtful that this photo will appear in the government owned media. Even though it is a true measure of the man. The MSM are traitors and are misleading the American people.

Sometimes people really do not want everything that they claim they want. When I was in college in the 1970s, feminism and equal rights for women were hot topics and many young women were pretty militant about this. However, consistently treating women as equals in all respects (“hey, pay for your half of dinner” or “don’t make me guess what’s wrong”) was not a way to get a lot of dates. It turned out that quite a few women wanted so-called equality when it benefitted them, but not otherwise. This equality thing, at least when actually practiced by me, also solidified my reputation as an insensitive jerk.

I see the same thing in large portions of the black community. Many government programs were initially designed to ease poverty conditions for minorities until they could succeed on their own – now minorities are dependent on them. Everything is racism, and nothing is individual responsibility. Ghettos still exist, although minorities are free to move out of them anytime they want. Whoever really wants an education can get one – it’s not the government’s role to force people to become educated. What was promised in the civil rights movement was equal opportunity – what is being promised now is more governmental dependence. Many blacks are essentially selling themselves back into slavery, or at least second-class citizenry willingly, and progressive programs have done as much or more to destroy the black family structure as any plantation slave owner ever did. Many minorities really don’t want civil rights – they want government freebies.

My message to any American is, and always has been that they are equal and free, and they should go out and grab as much American opportunity as they want regardless of race or ethnicity. But, I am a middle class white conservative guy, and my message can’t compete with that of the guilty white liberal or the race-baiters of any color.

    Maybe not, but it’s awfully tempting… ;)

I just want to kick in that change IS happening in the black community. I do have the pleasure of having some black conservative friends who fiercely share the message with family & friends … and get incredible grief for it. But soldier on. Hearts & minds are changing…slowly.
