    Whoever told Chevy Chase, Whoopie Goldberg, or Eddie Murphy they were funny? They’ve been sustaining careers on Comedic Fumes for more than 30 years.

    As bad as those guys are most female comedians are worse. Women are better in physical comedy rather than stand up.

    As a youthful stand-up comedian, I once took part in an act which began with a guy on stage telling jokes every bit as deadly as these. Just when the audience starts turning ugly, the “Comedy Bomb Squad” arrived (in uniform and with flashing lights and siren) to disarm the (deliberately) failed comedian’s act…taking rubber chickens and other pieces of prop comedy out of the “bomb.”

    And yes, the audience DID laugh.
