HA! Keith Hernandez Takes Shot At Elizabeth Warren on Mets Broadcast

Home - by - July 8, 2012 - 13:30 America/New_York - 5 Comments

Just now, on a tough pop up play to Chicago Cubs’ young phenom Anthony Rizzo, Hernandez chastised the player for not wearing sunglasses.

Fellow announcer, Gary Cohen, pointed out that Rizzo was wearing eye black to take the glare away and he asked Hernandez if he ever wore the grease paint during a game.

Hernandez said he didn’t like the stuff because he had high cheekbones, which “doesn’t make me part native American.”

Nice, Keith.

I had the opportunity to meet Mr Hernandez once back in the early 80′s. Heck of a nice guy.
