Here’s a beautiful short film by Arden Oksanen titled “Pictures of a Cowboy”. It’s about the life and work of Carl Oksanen, a cowboy-turned-photographer who documented the beauty of Wyoming through stunning landscape photographs. Prepare to be inspired.

Just way to far away from an ocean…I want a salty piece of land.

Wyoming is one of the most beautiful places on earth. The view of the Tetons is something one really must experience first-hand.

Beautiful and magnificent — this cowboy is the spirit of America… still hasn’t taken his best shot, which is still to come!
Did not want this video to end!

You know, I strted typing a sarcastic cynical quip about politics, out of habit I guess, but on second thought… I won’t be the one to open that door and let politics spoil that beauty. That was full of sights truly magnificent to behold. That fella is living a life I could be quite happy with myself. What a glorius place. God’s grace indeed!!!

That is one very fortunate man to live in a place of, and make a living revealing, God’s beauty.
Thank you illust8r, I thoroughly enjoyed the video.
I was very fortunate as a young teenager in the late 60′s, to attend a boy’s camp in Powderhorn Colorado for three summers. Powderhorn itself, consisted of only a one-room Post Office and many large ranches.
I’ll never forget rafting on the Gunnison River, climbing Uncompaghre Peak (6th highest peak in Colorado), trail riding (on horses), fishing the beaver ponds and camping in the moutains. And then there was the rodeo in Gunnison. A lot of great memories for a 12 year old kid.
It wasn’t Wyoming, but it was sure darn close. The name of the camp was Ute Trail Boys Camp, named after the Ute indian tribe, who lived in the area. Uncompaghre was a revered Chief of the tribe, and who the mountain peak was named after.
