Full Disclosure: This Kid Gave Me the Creeps Back Then
When CPAC trotted this kid out I rolled my eyes. I don’t like hearing kids who don’t even shave sing about immortal love, and I certainly don’t like hearing them talk politics. At best it’s precocious.
I was less marveled by this kid than I was creeped out. Now I know why.

Now he denounces everything he said (as if we should have been listening to him in the first place.)

The article says he’s “bucking the conventional wisdom that you become more conservative as you get older” but I think he’s exactly typical. What kid is liberal? What kid believes in killing unborn children? What kid doesn’t want a mother and father who are married? What kid thinks he should give his allowance to the government in the hopes that the government can spend it better than he can? It’s the teen years – and being exposed to non-stop liberal ideology in school – that makes conservative kids turn into liberal teens.

Really, I don’t think anyone took this kid seriously either when he was a conservative or since he’s changed his stance. He made for a cute bit of video back then but I really doubt he’ll be changing any minds. One thing to consider is that I’ll bet by the time he’s 30 he’ll probably be back to being conservative. Up here in Canada it’s said (if you are from Quebec) that if you’re 25 years old and not a seperatist you have no heart but if you’re 35 and still a seperatist you have no brain. Anyway, I’m sure the kid will be back in to fold when he gets a little older and a little smarter. In the meantime, he can always fall back on the AntiChrist gig.

Ugh, this one really hits me. I agree with BFH, I was creeped out by this kid. But he also has a strange resemblance to a die-hard 0bama fan I know. The same college lib professorial pontifications that sound interesting, if you’re not paying attention to what’s being said.

I never could stand him either.
