NUMBER ONE OR NUMBER TWO?
President Obama avoided phone calls from Hillary Clinton by having his aides tell her that he was in the bathroom, according to a New York Times report.
In the early days of the administration, when Clinton was uncertain about becoming the next secretary of state, Obama refused to take no for an answer. Instead of taking Clinton’s phone call, he instructed his aides to tell her that he was busy in the bathroom.
The Times reports:
“Her aides say Obama would not take no for an answer; he avoided at least one phone call from her, the story goes, by having an aide explain he was in the bathroom.”
