(Reuters) – Toyota Motor Corp (7203.T) said it will add two of its Lexus models to a recall it started in late 2009 to address the risk that a loose floor mat could force down the accelerator.

Toyota said about 131,800 vehicles of the 2010 RX350 model and about 22,200 vehicles of its 2010 RX450H model would be recalled.

Owners of the vehicles will receive a safety recall notification in early August.

Lexus dealers will handle the vehicles at no cost to the customers, the company said in a statement.

This my neighbors Toyato after the crane pulled it out of the marina. This was 2009. He called Toyata because as he entered the marina, the engined roared wide open. He hit the brakes, but the engine overpowered them and he was in the water in about 2 seconds after running thru the handrails. Toyata said, “We do not have any recalls on our trucks….buh-bye…click”

    Thumb up +1

Pretty damn minor. Last week took my GM car in for a recall. Something about the keys getting stuck in the ignition and you can’t leave your car to go to work or shop for fear of the first thief strolling by and driving it to Mehico.
