If the Dems truly were interested in helping the uninsured, a tax credit or break to incentivize insurance purchases would have done nicely.

But it was never about helping the uninsured. It was about the POWER GRAB.

Now, Obama and the Dems are the biggest tax increasers EVER, every promise they make is shown to be naught but lies, and this affects EVERYONE.

Companies will not hire more people until this abomination is gutted and beheaded. Not only that, they will be cutting workforces. Watch for unemployment numbers to go up (in the private sector). There might be hiring in the govt sector as they fill Obamacare posts, but it’ll be tepid for now.

Well, with luck this should guarantee Romney wins but he’s going to have to play real hardball and all the conservatives will have to get out and fight like banshees now to take the Senate and the WH back from these liars and thugs.

The question I have is how does the SCOTUS redefine the meaning of the mandate to a tax when all the arguments made before the court explicitly said that it wasn’t? Obama said it wasn’t, Pelosi, Reid and Biden said it wasn’t, all the liberal talking heads said it wasn’t yet Roberts and the four liberal judges decided that it was and was therefore allowed. Maybe it’s for the best in that the SCOTUS forced out the truth about this being a massive tax increase that he can’t hide from.

The sad part of all this as a business owner, is that it’s cheaper for me to pay the tax for not providing Health to my employees than to spend the $100k a year. The savings will more than offset my annual cost to cover my family out of pocket. I can also purchase a simple catastrophic plan in the event something terrible happens. It will be a business decision.

Not that they care inasmuch as many of them sold their freedom to the Democrats several years ago, but the people who will pay for this are the “little people.” Leona Helmsley once remarked that “only little people pay taxes,” and while Helmsley was probably a complete bitch, she was absolutely correct.

Businesses, many of whom currently provide health benefits for their employees, have been, and will continue to run a fairly simple mathematical exercise during which they calculate whether or not it is less expensive to continue to provide health insurance, or dump their employees into the public system. (What these mathematical calculations show is obvious – that is why so many organizations have sought and obtained exemptions from ObamaCare). I think it is a given that our elected officials will require Cadillac health plans for everyone, including people who may only need a Yugo plan, so one can count on the cost of insurance continuing to rise and private employers requiring their employees to find their own health care plans. Put another way, claim that 15 to 45 million people are without health insurance and that ObamaCare will remedy this; however, Bill Gates and Warren Buffett won’t pay the premiums – the people who can least afford it will.

I find it ironic, and in a sick way very funny, that the very people whom Obama and the Democrats claim to be concerned about, and whom they want to help, will end up being screwed by what has happened. And it will be difficult, if not impossible to correct this because power ceded to the government is seldom regained.
