You Learn Something New Every Day
I never knew this.
Andrea Shea King sent it asking, “is this real or a photoshop?”
Ann responded:
100% real, although the top one finally gave out and blew off in a T-storm in April. But, it was over 2 years old.
Here’s what Andrea was talking about:

Now you know why the IRS just wrapped up a fourteen month audit/colonoscopy of all three of my businesses and my personal returns for the last five years. Yes, fourteen months. By the way, the result of the audit was that I had overpaid taxes, but it was too late to amend.

@Ann B–
“Too late to amend”? Were they able to keep straight faces when they told you that? I’ve always understood that taxpayers had several years in which to amend their returns. Or does that only apply when the taxpayer needs to pay more? (Prob. a rhetorical question.)

Isn’t he a Marxist Wannabe Dictator? Pretty sure he’s a devout follower of the bearded one.

“There is no doubt that there is a legal entity called the United States government. It is a judicial construct. It is marked by its proponents’ assertion that it has final jurisdiction over the use of badges and guns inside its borders. It has a monopoly of violence that cannot legally be challenged by any other entity. It has the final say over who gets to point a gun at whose belly.
If we do not think of the state in this way, we will not understand what the state really is: legalized coercion. The state is the agency that asserts and enforces its right to stick guns in people’s bellies. There is a great debate over the legal and moral foundations that undergird this judicial assertion, but the right of lawfully holding a gun and sticking it in somebody else’s belly is the essence of the state.”

I DID know about these, which is just one reason Ann is one of my heroines!
@Ann, so glad to hear your financial colonoscopy is finally over.
As I’m sure you know, there’s no statute of limitations on outstanding balances if you owe THEM, so how can they refuse to reimburse you?
You should call Michelle Bachmann. She was a tax attorney for the IRS!

An had this up at her site a couple of months ago.
Back when Twiter had the #ObamaIn3Words thing “Wannabe Marxist Dictator” was one of my first thoughts.
@Ann – Sorry to hear you had to go through that with the IRS. Sadly, it’s not surprising. Clinton used the IRS as a political weapon too, but he was relatively tame compared to this anti-American jerk occupying the Oval Office now.
Best wishes, you’re in my prayers.
