Salon: LGBT’s Worst Foe – The Closet Monster
Salon publishes a list of politicians and wonks who they say are enemies of the gay agenda while they themselves are gay. Their conclusion is that this is massive hypocrisy.
I see it another way.
In this piece they detail lots of hedonism, perversion and irresponsibility. Perhaps these people advocate against elevating male homosexuals into prominent roles in society because they know homosexuality very intimately.
Would it be hypocritical for a father who wanders the city streets at night to dissuade his son from doing the same?

Roy Cohn was the best of that bunch, by far. Some might say his public and private lives were in contradiction. I disagree.
His actions and statements clearly show that he was comfortable with himself and saw no contradiction in being gay in his private life but not coming out of the closet in his public life, even being publicly against out-of-the-closet homosexuality.
Cohn was a great asset to Sen McCarthy in exposing the red menace infesting American government after Frank Roosevelt’s near-16 year reign of terror. The Venona Project and the 90′s opening of the KGB archives prove conclusively that Communist traitors and spies were infiltrated into every aspect of American life – politics, radio, newspapers, universities, , intelligence community, military – you name it.
Being gay himself, Cohn knew that gays are vulnerable to blackmail by foreign governments.
Cohn was also vehemently opposed to gays teaching in schools, from kindergarten to high school. He knew that many gays prey upon younger people in their formative years. Especially those from broken homes, craving attention from elders. He knew that they were too young to reliably make wise decisions for themselves and were vulnerable to manipulation from those in positions of authority.
