Bloomberg is all up in your kool aid
Health panel talks about wider food ban
The board hand-picked by Mayor Michael Bloomberg that must approve his ban of selling large sugar-filled drinks at restaurants might be looking at other targets.
The New York City Board of Health showed support for limiting sizes of sugary drinks at a Tuesday meeting in Queens. They agreed to start the process to formalize the large-drink ban by agreeing to start a six-week public comment period.
At the meeting, some of the members of board said they should be considering other limits on high-calorie foods.
One member, Bruce Vladeck, thinks limiting the sizes for movie theater popcorn should be considered.
“The popcorn isn’t a whole lot better than the soda,” Vladeck said.
Another board member thinks milk drinks should fall under the size limits.

Once New York City’s nutrition Nazis had assured themselves that no pitchfork wielding mob of angry, soda slurping malcontents was likely to materialize before City Hall demanding the sugar-free head of Chancellor Bloomberg for proposing the mandatory downsizing of their beverages, it was time to declare open season on the compulsive poppers of popcorn and the depraved drinkers of milk. After all, we’re talking National Security here. Michelle Obama said so.

I’m surprised you don’t need a passport to visit New York. Clearly, they are not part of the United States.

Why, there’s no end to this:
One hot dog per person at the ballpark, after that you get kicked out of the park if you try for two.
Your hand is stamped upon purchase at McDonald’s or Burger King, allowing one visit per day.
You can’t buy more than one half-gallon ice-cream container at grocery store, even if you are throwing a party.
Add yours here….

That bucket of popcorn is the only thing I look forward to after reluctantly agreeing to see a shit movie. If Gloomberg is successful in policing what I eat, I swear I will go to the next movie with my own bucket, order five bags of popcorn, use those bags to fill the bucket at the counter and then apply the same strategy for my drink. If he wants to ban something it should be burqas as there are an awful lot roaming around the city these days.

A man I greatly respect once said that old adage, “everythings fine till your ox gets gored.” I have seen this play out so many times.
Hey dipshit libs. Eventually some liberty you now enjoy will be denied and you will have enabled the march towards that eventuality.

First they came for my salt and I said nothing. Then they came for my soda and I said nothing. Then they came for my popcorn. Surprise!

Hmmm…he seems oddly threatened by “large” things. II wonder what light his ex-wife and current beard could shed on this phobia?

If you gave Bloomberg the Sahara Desert to manage, there would be no change for the first 75 years…
… after that, it would start running OUT of sand…

First he came for the smokers, but I did’nt smoke so I said nothing. Then he came for the trans-fats, the the salt shakers, next he’ll be rationing the butter or cream chesse you can put on a bagel, if he still allows bagels.
I moved out of NYC 8 years ago and live right over the city line. I do’nt even like going into Manhattan anymore as you can feel the liberal smugness as soon as you hit the pavement.
