Burger King Gives Us The Bacon Sundae We’ve Always Wanted But Were Afraid To Ask For
Burger King, home of the Whopper and, at least for a limited time, the bacon sundae.
The AP reports that BK will launch the treat — which has fudge, caramel, crumbled bacon and a full piece of bacon — later this week, along with other limited time items.
It has 510 calories, 18 grams of fat and 61 grams of sugar, but we’re guessing that these numbers won’t discourage the bacon-curious from giving it a try.
In addition to the sundae — already available in Nashville — BK will be offering the following through Sept. 3 (or while supplies last) :
— Memphis Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich.
— Carolina BBQ Whopper or Chicken Sandwich.
— Texas BBQ Whopper or Chicken Sandwich.
— Sweet potato fries.
— Frozen Lemonade.

Sounds great. Too bad that the few Burger Kings left here are nasty bad. When you go there, you never know what to expect.
On this heavenly treat, the ice cream would be melted and have a freezer taste, they would forget to put on the hot caramel and fudge and the bacon would be raw.
Oh ans they would be out of spoons & forks and expect you to eat it with a knife.

@TooMuchTime, we don’t go to Denny’s here in the Portland area. The owner of the Denny’s in Maine announced that he was putting a policy in place to allow cross dressers and gender “confused” people to use whichever bathroom they like.
So, we will go to BK to try this little treat.

@beachmom — That used to anger me too, until I realized that only one person can use the loo at a time. So I don’t care. If I gotta go, I gotta go. The “mens” room has a changing station for babies so I’m thinking it’s not a problem at any rate.
However, if they DO allow more than one person in the loo at a time, then I’d write a srongly-worded letter to the manager (copy to Denny’s home office – posted on my blog as well) about how wrong that would be and that I’ll take my business elsewhere.
