LSM – Romney tries to keep Obama’s ‘doing fine’ comment alive

Mitt Romney is still trying to score political points off President Obama’s remark last Friday that the private sector is “doing fine.”

The Republican presidential nominee’s campaign has released a new minute-long video featuring news coverage of the May jobs report, which showed weaker than expected job creation and a slight uptick in the nation’s unemployment numbers.

The Romney video, titled “Jolt,” then shifts to footage of Obama’s White House news conference Friday, in which the president declared: “private sector is doing fine.” Obama later clarified his remarks, telling reporters later Friday afternoon, “The economy is not doing fine.”

But that clarification goes unmentioned in the Romney ad, which asks, as an ominous soundtrack swells, “Has there ever been a president so out of touch with the middle-class?”

Hey Holly, Obama still sucks!

So “clarify” is the new word for “lie”?

So Obama admits the Private Sector isn’t doing fine. There’s your story numb-nut!

In stark contrast to the taken out of context remark Romney made about not being worried about poor people.

Where is Holly’s article about how the MSM all ran with that to say Romney was out of touch.

@Mr. Pinko — Exactly! Ofailure says the private sector is doing fine. Then he “clarifies” that by saying the economy isn’t doing fine.

If the economy isn’t doing fine, then who is the current president; you know, that guy that is responsible? Oh yeah! Ofailure!

Romney should now do a second ad with both statements showing how out of touch Obama really is. Then say it has taken Obama three and half years but he’s finally taken credit for his economic failure that is destroying this country. Romney needs to play Hammer the economic failure on the Obama from now until November.

Four years ago, after McCain made that crack about the economy’s “fundamentals” we all heard it repeated, over and over, for weeks in OFA ads everywhere, for weeks in the talking points spewed from the mouths of Soetoro’s commie mouthpieces. Well, what goes around comes around.

“Doing Fine?” Eat it, progtards. Eat. Every. Bite.

To the MFM this story is old news…they only look “Forward”….well except when the catch wind of Romney cutting a hippies hair when obama was in diapers.

these six words: “The Private Sector is doing Fine” will follow Obama to November. Remember “Read my lips: No new taxes”?

Tough crap LSM…we are not letting go off this one!

Gee Holly, are you saying that Romney didn’t tell the whole story? That he used selective facts? That he was biased in his presentation?

I think I just described an LSM reporter. Are you saying that it’s ok for thee, but not for he?

    This is from yahoo? Oy.
They’re pathetic, and not a credible news source, IMHO.

@TMT, “Romney needs to play Hammer the economic failure on the Obama from now until November.”
    I agree 100%…and I think he will.
He’s got some very smart strategy people working for him, and they will be piling on O for the duration, with material that he has handed to them on a silver platter.

Also…Romney will be indirectly getting a lot of help from Clinton and company. They want him gone, too.

The part I love is that Romney is STILL keeping a comment alive that was uttered on Friday… and it’s now Monday.

    Cliff Notes version:
That’s like sooooo three days ago! Can’t we just accept Obama’s “clarification” and drop it so we can get back to blaming Bush for everything bad that’s happened in the last three and a half years? :D

@norman – one thing about Yahoo is that when I see stories questioning or bashing Obama and the Dems there I know the story has gone mainstream. And that’s a good feeling.

OT but sorta related: is it possible that Coulter is still a rabid conservative and has been influencing Romney to the right, rather than him pulling her left? And in exchange for her early endorsement, he’s gonna make her AG so that she can bring charges up on Obama & Holder et al? She always was most enjoyable to read when she was skewering the left, after all

    Naw it’s too far-fetched nevermind…

“Romney tries to keep Obama’s ‘doing fine’ comment alive”

How dare he fight back! Especially with The None’s own words.

That’s just not fair. He should be more like McLame. Now there was a worthy opponent that knew his place. Mitt is just plain mean.
