Poll: Barack Obama in dead heat with Mitt Romney in Michigan as popularity slips
President Barack Obama’s popularity in Michigan has slipped in recent months, leaving him in a dead heat with Republican challenger Mitt Romney, according to a new poll of state voters by EPIC-MRA of Lansing.
The poll, released this morning to the Free Press and four TV stations, shows Romney leading Obama 46%-45%, a reversal from the last EPIC poll in April which showed Obama ahead 47%-43%.
Obama’s personal and job approval numbers also have slipped, with 46% of Michiganders saying they have a favorable opinion of the president, and 41% approving of the job he’s doing.
EPIC co-founder John Cavanagh said the softening in support for Obama is likely related to a robust TV advertising campaign by pro-Romney PACs which have been critical of his handling of the economy. Perhaps most troubling for the Democratic president is a decline in support from independent voters, Cavanagh said.

Romney will win by a landslide. Once in office, he’ll do just as he did with the Winter Olympics; he’ll turn it all around. He’ll lead a new Reagan Revolution. Coast to coast we’re going to see great changes. Good times are coming. I feel it. Man, do I feel it.
As for Obama . . . I hope he disappears like a turd that’s flushed down a toilet.

Two questions – not rhetorical I’d just be interested in opinion.
A.) How much is the Romney name worth politically in Michigan? Do citizens still remember the Govenor Dad and is it a favorably memory – or is Romeny doing well on his own?
B.) Is Michigan a must win state for Obama?

Barely remember daddy George. Mostly he was liked I think. But there are two folks here, (Three- if you count our grown daughter) who voted R last time and will crawl over broken glass to do it again.
Now we need to find a good replacement for Back- Stabernaw in the Senate.

We have Senators Levin & Stabenow. Only Debbie is up this year. We first have to dump her union ass-kissin fat-ass.
Next, we have (had) a Congressman McCotter (R) who totally screwed-up and never even got 1000 valid signatures (after 5 terms) to run in a reconfigured district (that I’m in!) that was never going to go Demorat! Now we have a war.
Last, there are many in Michigan who are NOT union related and we shall prevail!
